The property is at the very top of a hill overlooking the valley below. The view is gorgeous, overseeing the entire valley and mountains in the distance. Michela is an excellent host, helpful and kind. The breakfast is excellent. The room balcony is also lovely.

Where do we start? After many disappointments on this trip I was in danger of losing my hotel choosing privileges by my wife🙃. The choice of II Castellaro was a pure stroke of genius. The villa at the top of a mountain is gorgeous. Spacious rooms with beds that are a delight. The swimming pool is big, well maintained and inviting after a long drive. The hosts however are what sets II Castellaro apart. You can tell its a labor of love for both and they spare no effort in making sure your every need is taken care of. Whether it's an intimate breakfast for two on the outside deck or a sumptuous dinner by their talented chef, it's all handled with a beautiful smile and easily.

It's such a gorgeous place! Everything was perfect and Antonella who welcomed us is such a kind lady. Also the restaurant is a must! The typical Umbrian dishes are delicious and the staff is very friendly. Thanks everyone!

Very impressed with the attention we got. I traveled with my sister who is in bad health. We got assigned an appartement on 2 nd floor and lots of stairs. Almost impossible for her. Next day the owner and Valerio at front desk had an apartment for us at ground level right by the pool. We were so grateful and happy. Service was impeccable for our situation all our needs were met. Dinner was brought up to us in first nite so my sister did not have to go down all the stairs All in all a very great stay Will definitely recommend this hotel

Really liked the pool. Stayed for one night. The space might be too small for someone who would stay more nights.

The apartament was really spacious and clean There was no AC but the stone on the floor and walls made the interior cool and nice We had two bathrooms, one with a tub and the other one with a shower. Towels were available. The kitchen was well equipped although I couldn’t find a pan. The pool is large and the views from there are fantastic. The host was very helpful. She advised us where to eat and what to see. I wish I could come back. Thank you.
