Casa Chincol offers accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama, 14 km from the centre. The property boasts views of the mountain and is 35 km from Termas de Puritama. What a magical place. We loved every minute at this beautiful cabana. Very well equipped, absolutely quiet at every time of the day, hot water and a very cozy bed. To sit at night at the fireplace, had a glass of wine, hear the sounds of the desert and look at the wonderful stars was one of the best things during our journey in Chile. The little pool was also very nice to have - after a day in the desert it was amazing to become refreshed in the pool. Yes, there are some flies around the pool - but who cares - you sit in a pool in the middle of the desert - awesome!!! Check-in and check-out very easy and all the communication with the owner very easy.

The location is perfect and the staff are exceptionally chill and nice! We tried the make the payment in USD cash, not only the staff is willing to accept but they don’t even charge us for additional amount or give us a bad exchange rate. Also, I do like that they don’t have any associated travel agencies that keep pursuing us to join the day tours. Instead, they gave us some sincere advice of which travel agencies are actually good around the city, and reminded us not to take the first one right away and go at least two agencies for comparison! Lastly, we checked out very early in the morning that no staff were there, we accidentally took away the room key and we noticed it after going through the security in the airport! We informed the hotel staff right away but nth we can do already….we were so sorry about that. However, the hotel didn’t blame us and didn’t not even charge us for that. We all feel that the hotel staff are really nice and helpful.
