Podere del Priorato is a charming farmhouse that has been completely renovated to offer modern rooms and apartments. It is 5 minutes' drive from the Orbetello Lagoon Nature Reserve. It was a great location to explore the area, parts of Tuscany and coastal towns. Then return to relax and sit by the pool. The staff were very helpful for recommendations and the local town had great restaurants and gelato. The breakfast buffet was incredible and on our last day when we had to collect our daughter early from Rome they made us breakfast very early.

I was looking for a place to relax after touring Italian cities and hill towns. This was perfect. It was out of season so not much going on here. Guests at La Mortella have access to the fancy golf resort (via a short walking path) if you like that sort of thing. Drove to the Citadelle but it's been turned into condominiums so no public access.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, left like being at home! The quality of food is excellent, with fresh and local products. We had half board included and we loved every bite, the dinner menu is updated daily! The room was also stunning and filled with all the comforts! We liked everything!
