Nice historical city, nice view point from the castle, but nothing more to see there, unfortunately the shops were closed btw 11-17o'clock, some restaurants were open to have a beverage. For short visit it is sufficient.

A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area. There are also several beaches, although they require some hiking to get to, but are absolutely stunning. This is a lovely destination for out-of-season travel! We were here in March and it was perfect. We were warned that it becomes very very busy in summer.

Medieval village, well looked after, quiet, espectacular views from the castle, nice houses and stroll.
It depends of what you're looking for. I have heard is very busy during high season so, too small for a crowd. A car is needed to get there and to move around the area. However, parking facilities are scarce.

Cozy and cute with plenty of dining options and shopping. Great views of the Mediterranean.
Highly recommended for food:
1. Cuban Bar Restaurant Havana in the town center for dinner - great food, impeccable service, really nice and interesting design with the indoor and terrace seating.
2. Cap Sa Sal Restaurant for lunch or snack/drinks (Sa Tuna, 5-10 mins drive from Begur town center) - perfect terrace overlooking the sea and great seafood.

Going to the beaches and walking from beach to beach was very enjoyable.
We used the summer bus to get to and from the beaches, only one Euro, but the last day of the bus was 17th September so after that we took a taxi, 19 euro each way.
It wasn't easy to find a table to eat in Begur when we Spoke English, luckily my partners French is very good, we appeared to get better service when he talked French.

Beautiful old town with a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to get to the beach by bus. It's not great for cars as very narrow streets and I'm not sure about parking. Would definitely recommend as a holiday destination. This area of Spain seems to have escaped high rise buildings - it has a Majorcan feel about it. Definitely worth a trip!
Very nice hotel with friendly owners and staff. Great central location: you step out of the hotel and are in the centre of the city of Begur. Good breakfast, with fresh orange juice, a poached egg and fresh fruit (amongst other things). Beautiful room, good bed and pillows. Good shower. The room faces the street, but they have put 3-double glass, so you cannot hear any noise from outside. The parking spots are well located: less than 5 minutes walking from the hotel (that is in the car-free centre of the city). Would definitely repeat.
Absolutely amazing boutique hotel. They have carefully thought about every single detail in the room and the hotel/facilities. The breakfast was divine: everything is source locally and there was great variety without having too many options. I also loved the host, Carla, and the staff working there who had a plethora of recommendations in the area which in my opinion were better than the recommendations online. All in all, I would def recommend this place and will def be back again.
Pilar and Juan were so lovely and kind. Always big beaming smiles, offering help and assistance. The views were outstanding and it was tranquil and quiet. You can get around by car but I loved being able to walk 20min up hill to Begur, or 20min downhill to the beautiful beaches. I was on a working holiday and was able to work on the wifi in the morning, and go hiking or swimming in the afternoon. One of my favourite stays in a long time and I hope to return one day.
it was stylish, very clean, well appointed with a wonderful couple who own and run the hotel. Anca was very helpful and even hung my socks which I washed in the sink out to dry on the patio above the kitchen. we had to leave early on our departure day and she got up early to share baked cake, fruit and coffee before the formal breakfast was served. she was very helpful in providing us guidance on what to experience locally.
This hotel is very clean and so charming. It has a lovely rooftop to watch the sunset over the hills. iIt is very close to the castle and the main plaza. The owner is just lovely! The service is great and Sonia at reception does more than her best to keep the guests comfortable and happy. She is a real treasure!! All the staff members are friendly and professional. Just lovely!!!
Very pleasant one night stay. Beautiful hotel with great views over the Emporda countryside. Big, comfortable, clean room with it's own terrace - great for breakfast or a beer in the evening. Very peaceful but only a short walk into the centre of Begur. Had a very nice lunch and breakfast was spectacular. Very welcoming staff (mostly). Would definitely stay again.
Set within walking distance of the centre of Begur, the hotel was charming and very comfortable. Our room had a lovely terrace, seating area with sofa, comfortable bed and well-appointed bathroom. There was also a comfortable lounge with books, vinyls and a well-stocked honesty bar. Clara was very welcoming. The breakfast buffet was superb. We will go back.
I wanted to stay in a Parador while in Costa Brava and found this Parador in Begur. The views are stunning and the Parador is very modern and clean. Apparently the property was renovated a year ago. I had never heard of Begur but was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful natural surroundings of the parador and nearby villages of Torrent and PAL.
The hotel is absolutely stunning and you can tell the designer really wanted to create a special place for the guests. The attention to detail in the interiors is permeated throughout the property in the sumptuous rooms, incredible staff and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere right in the centre of Begur. The breakfast is excellent too.
Breakfast was excellent. The view from our rooms was very limited but views from the hotel sitting areas were very good. Our room was just okay. We got two rooms - one for our 22 year-old daughter. If we go again I will book a year in advance and get one of the cottages facing the water that will accommodate all of us.
Amazing location, stunning views, simply one of the best places in Begur, you will fall in love as soon as you arrive in the place and feel the wind in your face, turquoise water like in Maldives and great inner design of the hotel, spacious rooms, floor to ceiling windows and lot’s of light. Reasonably good spa.
Lovely staff, beautiful decor, spacious room, comfortable big bed (but not v comfortable pillows) and good storage. Bathroom was well designed and good shower. Nice breakfast. Offered to store luggage after checkout. Very central in Begur. Lovely small boutique hotel.
The location it’s just a privilege. You are isolated, but at the same time close to one of the best beach (Sa riera). The fact that the hotel has private parking, make logistic much easier. The rooms are really comfortable and breakfast is amazing!
An exceptional hotel in a magical setting Probably best to avoid the super heat of mid summer if you can Breakfast a treat for all tastes and staff attentive and friendly If only for one meal eat in the hotel’s restaurant yummy
Space and Confort of the house, Unique Location, Terrace and Swimming Pool. Multimedia Equipment (Sonos/TV/PC Monitor), Sea Views, Very Quite Area close to best locations to visit in Costa Brava
This cozy boutique hotel feels like home! Smack bang in the center of Begur, in a wonderful historical house, super comfy beds and a breakfast with home made specialties served by lovely hosts.
Personal is friendly and helpful, cats are cute. Located in between two gems: Fornell beach and Aiguablava. The bus station to go to Begur is right in front of the hotel
This is a stunning hotel in a beautiful part of the Costa Brava. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the hotel decor is chic. The staff are very friendly.
