We loved everything about our stay at La Bastide. There are outstanding views, big rooms, nice decor, and very helpful and attentive staff. Amazing breakfast with a big selection of different dishes. One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. We are already planning our next visit to La Bastide. Definitely recommend that place.

If you're planning on driving here with a rental car please be aware that it is extremely busy and the roads are incredibly narrow. My experienced driver was uncomfortable with parallel parking next to a precipitous drop The view that you often see in photos from the lookout near the village is beautiful but what you don't see are the lines of other people waiting to get the same shot. In short, it's incredibly touristy which does take away from the quaint ambiance I was looking for. We also visited Fontaine de Vancleur and found that village to be more manageable in terms of crowds, parking, and driving.

Gordes is a magical town, it's all walkable and you'll have plenty of choice for restaurants, be careful not to set out for dinner too late though as places seem to close quite early.
We had a fantastic meal at La Trinquette which I highly recommend. There's also a lively outdoor bar/restaurant opposite with a view!
If you're staying in the area and have access to a car, make sure you check out Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque for it's beautiful exterior lined with Lavender (no need to get sucked in to the hour tour), also be sure to visit Le Sentier des Ocres, Roussillon is a stunning town and the orange Quarry is definitely something not to miss!
Parking can be quite tricky in the very heart but it's a small town and two mins up the road is a massive car park.

Gordes is a beautiful medieval village with lovely shops and restaurants and stunning views. It has a wonderful market every Tuesday morning. However it can get hectically busy during the day as it is phenomenally popular with tourists. It’s best to visit it early, around 10 am, and even at 9am on market day. Limited parking if one is not staying within walking distance nearby

Gordes is a beautiful town with amazing views, some nice shops, several good restaurants, lovely village market on Tuesday mornings.
Stayed on the hill leading up to Gordes, about a 10 minute walk from the city. Perfect location - got some exercise walking up every day, but had enjoyed the space and quiet of being outside the village
Ate at several restaurants in Gordes. Most enjoyed our meals at L'Outsider and Le Garden.
We visited early June. The village had lot's of tourists but wasn't too busy overall. Expect it would be much more crowded in July and August

Gordes has quite a lot of history which is very informative and interesting.. However in the actual village itself there is not a lot to offer. La ville sous la ville is very interesting.
The surrounding villages of Gordes are perhaps more interesting with markets and local cuisine. Lourmarin is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in Gordes for three nights.
We stayed in Gordes for three nights. Three full days would have been fine but we lost a day going back to Aix en Provence for a private cooking class.
The Luberon area is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed visiting many villages. Would highly recommend. Must have rental car.
Beautiful accomodation, run by a beautiful family. Despite my partner and I not speaking any French we were made to feel extremely welcome and had a magical stay. The room was large and immaculately put together, the pool and garden area was beautiful and a lot of the time we had it to ourselves. It is a 10/15 minute walk into the middle of Gordes with a spectacular view of the town both ways. Highly recommend and thank you Mathilda, Franck, and Stephanie for an amazing stay!
The owners Luc & Marion do everything to assure guest. comfort. Each room is impeccably clean, stylish and equipped with incredibly comfortable beds and bedding. Towels were luxury quality and all accoutrements needed for bathing etc. were provided. Breakfasts were casually elegant with fab breads, preserves, fruits, cheeses, juice & coffee served either indoors or out. if you desire to be pampered. Provence 28 is your place for accommodation..
great location with an easy uphill walk to the town which was not far, beautiful renovated old property with lots of levels and stairs which did not bother us, great views and lovely to have a pool to cool off in. Every thing was catered for including provisions for cooking, coffee etc. , great host who met us and went through everything. It was the most beautiful property, views, location and facilities! a must-tray property in Gordes.
La Bastide offers absolute perfection. After several visits for lunches and dinners in the last years our expectations regarding a short stay there on our way down to the coast were high, but have definitely been exceeded by the level of excellence this hotel offers in every regard. We look forward to returning and exploring the other hotels of the Airelles group.
The Bastide de Gordes is most definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. This was the third time that we stayed in this hotel and we were again not disappointed by any means. Every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. To the little gift on the bed for our daughter at our arrival to the last minute of our stay. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful property 5 mins walking distance to beautiful Gordes. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and nicely renovated. Private parking was a huge plus. Amazing big pool. Our host Dennis was very welcoming and we got great tips from him regarding the area and things to do. This is a place to stay in Gordes. We will definitely stay here upon our return 😍
It's a very quiet old stone farm converted into a hotel with a very nice swimming pool and outdoor dining area. The food was delicious. Staff was very welcoming. We liked the garden for sitting around and the vegetation all around the place with lavender and flowers. The room was stylish and decent in size with 2 comfortable beds and a nice modern bathroom.
This location was amazing and the hotel grounds were unbelievably serene and beautiful! Easy parking, excellent location with a view of Gordes across the street, short walk into town, and very charming room. The hotel owners were so kind and helpful and the breakfast each morning was incredible! We were so sad to leave and hope to return someday.
A helpful hostess and beautiful grounds with a comfortable room would be enough, but the breakfast here was amazing. My partner and I would happily come back to this very well run and relaxing small hotel. We loved eating on the patio meeting the resident dog and cats, chatting with other couples and sipping wine by the pool as the sun set.
The house is really nice...the place is quite and tranquil with nice surrounding. It allows us to be relax. The location is in between Gordes and Goult, strategically located and all places are reacheable easily. Muriel is a superb host, very friendly and always ready to help. We would recommend this place highly.
La Borie was perfectly located for our visit to Gordes. The hosts were friendly. The room was amazing with great views of the valley. Breakfast was was delicious and had a great selection. We would highly recommend La Borie and can’t wait to return on our next visit to the South of France.
Charming accomodation, very close to Gordes. Ideal for couples, very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast is excellent and great value for price. The owner was extremely attentive and flexible at all moments. Overall, we highly recommend to stay at Mas Orea
peaceful location in beautiful rustic setting. Lovely room. great hosts. fabulous breakfasts and meeting other guests over breakfast.great location a few minutes drive from Gordes and close to numerous other beautiful villages. lovely pool and setting.
This property is absolutely wonderful, the care with which it has been lovingly restored makes it a special destination. A walk through stone walls and lanes to the core of Gordes is delightful and makes the location perfect.
We stayed at small hotel and had very good time, ideally located to walk to Gordes and very pleasant and friendly owners. The view is amazing and the garden is phenomenal. Great breakfast every day at the pool side.
It’s a spotless fantastic property about 3km from Gordes. The house used to be an olive oil mill. It is beautifully decorated.
The owners are súper friendly and their home made breakfast is the best.
