The restaurant and pub are in the same building and serve very good meals and breakfast! The service and friendliness of the staff was good, they really made an effort for us to feel welcome. The reaction to our complaint about the room was excellent.

Host went above and beyond for personal touches. I had mentioned we were there for my friend’s birthday and we went back out and came back to a wee tray with a card and 2 mini bottles of Prosecco and chocolates. My friend really appreciated that thought.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.

Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it.
I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices.
The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.
We received a really warm welcome on arrival, taken to our room, a good explanation as to how the key works. Given a comprehensive list of what was available for dinner and clearly informed that breakfast would be served over the road in the Waverley Hotel. We enjoyed a superb evening meal at the Waverley, the members of staff were so attentive and really showed that they were there to make sure we had a great experience. Breakfast both mornings were exceptional and again the team could not have been more helpful. A credit to your business!
The Lodge House is a very comfortable, well maintained cottage with a large enclosed garden. It is well equipped with spacious rooms, modern furnishings, a large Smart TV, and fabulous walk-in shower. We were fortunate enough to enjoy good weather so spent time in the garden; its secure boundaries allowed our dog to wander freely without us being concerned.
We explored the local area of Callander, which has a good variety of shops and walking routes.
The Family Room was absolutely beautiful and so much bigger then we were expecting! The shower was so fancy too, even had body jets!! The bathroom itself was all modern and nicely done. The tea/hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch as well. The location was excellent, 5 minutes from food and Icecream! We enjoyed the waterfall hike behind the hotel as well. Overall I would recommend this place, especially if they upgraded to more modern mattresses!
Westcot is located in the centre of Callander with private parking and easy access. The rooms are excellent and spacious with everything provided. The breakfast hamper is just amazing, with a wonderful choice of fruits, compot, pastries, breads and savories, "all home made", that really set you up for the day. Stephany, the host, is extremally welcoming and will provide all the information and advice you need about the local area.
I loved staying in this well designed guest house, which I would definitely call a hotel rather than a guest house. There were some lovely surprising amenities available during my stay. Location is great although parking can be challenging at times. Host (Jan) is great, very welcoming, helpful and kind throughout my. Breakfast was gorgeous with good selection.
I would definitely stay again if I happen to be in the area.
Poppies Hotel is a 5 star place to say in Callander. It is beautiful inside, full of treasures and spotlessly clean. It has a lovely homely feel and fabulous food. There is a lovely front garden to enjoy refreshments and watch the world go by, with very accessible car parking also. Susan and John gave us a lovely welcome and both they and their staff are all so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!
Breakfast excellent, and served to table by courteous and friendly staff. Room was large, secure and ideal. Bed was lovely and very comfortable ... Ideal! Everything was clean and tidy. Only a one night stay but will make this my first B&b search in the future whenever visiting Callander for a stay-over. Numerous nearby restaurants. Happy to recommend the Waverley Hotel for Dinner (a 10 minute walk away).
This hotel has beautiful grounds and is set on the River Teith. The building is very old and has some unique features. The lounge and library and bar area are beautiful. Afternoon Tea was excellent.
Comfortable bed and big bathroom.
We had a room overlooking a beautiful garden
Very close to the town center of Callendar.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The apartment is in a quiet alley right off the center of town. It is an extended attic including a seating area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two showers. It is very convenient and cozy. As a nice added touch, there were also board games, children's books, guidebooks and pamphlets (not advertisements), and the owners recommended bars with live music nearby.
If you're looking for the perfect base for exploring the Trossachs, this is it. The property is located in a lovely rural area on the edge of Callander. It is an easy stroll into the village and nearby walking trails. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Tom and Angela were great hosts!
The Abbotsford Lodge was wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. They just started serving dinner there which was a nice surprise because it was fabulous. Breakfasts were also very good. I would highly recommend the Abbotsford Lodge.
Very nice stay, the room was clean and the bathroom very large. Had some difficulty to open the bathroom window, but the staff was helpful and sorted it out while we were having a walk. The hotel has its own car park. Recommended
Fantastic location on the main street in Callander .We had a family room which was spacious and comfortable.Staff were lovely and breakfast coffee was the best I'd had that week.I would definitely book here again .
I've stayed here three times now. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and well appointed. Centre of town with a large car park up a side street. Food is delicious. Will be staying again 😃
Really helpful receptionist 🥳. Secure storage for my cycle. Warm comfy bed. The hotel is a bit tired but ok for a stop over. Callander has good facilities nearby..
