The property was immaculate and well equipped
The host was flexible and waited up late for us to hand over the keys
There were breakfast items provided which was helpful as we had an onward journey.

Interesting history, bit unusual (which we like), very friendly owners and clean and comfortable rooms. Good continental breakfast.

We did a stopover on way to north Scotland. Beautiful quaint town. Stayed at the peaceful Mansefield and did a 2 min walk into town centre. Had delicious diner at Just Be. Visited the Garden of Remembrance, which was very sobering and just a reminder of how this beautiful peaceful town was rocked by an awful tragedy that echoed the worst of humanity. A town that will always be remembered for the Pan Am bomb, but that actually is so much more than that. Easy links by train. Too short a stopover as quite a lot to do in the area

As I was only there for work, it would be difficult to comment too much on the town itself as I didn't get a chance to see too much of it, although the areas I did see were lovely. However it appears a good base for exploring the South West of Scotland, with good rail and motorway links

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

It was a lovely building, breakfast nicely cooked , no other choices to full Scottish, fresh fruit would have been nice ....the breakfast is priced at £14.95 and not £11.95 as stated on booking .com ..
Bathroom light was automatic and an issue when using through the night ...beds comfortable though we found the room too hot ...
I probably wouldn't stay again

Lockerbie is a quiet, sleepy town with very little in the way of restaurants. Hotel was tired but clean and comfortable - renovation should modernise it.
Golf course was quite hilly however provided great views of surrounding area - people at golf club were however very friendly and helpful. Nearby Lochmaben was a much better golf experience for anyone looking to golf in the area.
People were however very friendly in the area.

An early morning walk into the country above Lockerbie.
An early morning walk into the country above Lockerbie.
Convenient bus service to Moffatt and Glasgow (there was a rail strike at the time of our stay).
A big town centre Tesco that stays open late.
Everything at the Hotel was very good unfortunately the Chef was off sick so no food but was able to get Fish & Chips across the road & eat it in the bar room at the Hotel it was very yummy! The family room had plenty of space with TV & Wifi, the beds were comfy and there was plenty of beverages available, many Hotels tend to think a guest only wants one drink but this Hotel put out lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and milk for us which was appreciated by us all!
The room was very spacious and with the current heatwave, it was great to be able to open a window fully to enable a breeze to flow. The decor of the hotel is old Victorian in stunning condition. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly and invited good friendly banter. The dining room is very well spaced out and roomy. Breakfast was great, served hot and in good quality cutlery. Parking is off the road and there is plenty of it available.
Absolutely the best, fantastic hosts, could not have wished for better. Super clean room and facilities. From USA but once lived in southern Scotland - a home from home. Read great reviews before booking and was not disappointed! Next time I visit the Lockerbie area I will come to Bishopcleugh and hopefully be able to spend more one night.
Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Lockerbie, easily accessible from the M74 and with plenty of parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. The building and decor are traditional but transcends being dated – it's authentic. Comfortable room which was immaculately clean. Somerton House is now on my list and I shall certainly return.
The stay here was brilliant. It had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. It was really quiet at night and Tina and Simon helped us out with information and recommended places to go. We stayed in Lockerbie as we went to a wedding in Springkell. It was about 20 minutes drive away so is really easy to reach.
the host couldn't do enough for us. our bed on the first night was very uncomfortable, but he changed our room without question. Breakfast was cooked to order and was of a good size. He explained the renovations that were taking place in the hotel and welcomed us back whenever we wanted
The whole experience was excellent from time of arrival to departure.
Christine & Alan are Great Hosts and ensure your stay is acceptable to your requirements.
Yes, if we are ever around Lockerbie we would stay again.
Nothing was too much trouble for Christine & Alan to help you with.
The welcome from the manager, Tom and the overall communication from the staff. Friendly and genuine. The revamped bar and restaurant look and feel great. The breakfast was tasty and substantial. Check in and out was easy. The garage at the back of the hotel for parking was useful.
The staff were very welcoming, the building was lovely, clean and was an all round nice, traditional place. The hotel manager was great with me, as this was my first time travelling and staying somewhere alone, he bared with me and made difficult things seem so simple.
We didn’t end up in the Dryfesdale we got transferred to its sister hotel. It was handy just off the motorway with lots of parking. Erin (manager) was a superstar, running reception and serving meals also very supportive with my food intolerances.
The hotel was in a great location, walking distance from the train station in Lockerbie.
The hotel has high standards despite being only a small venue, lovely comfortable room, nice bar and restaurant area, the food was good too
Gorgeous wee railway cottage. Very well equipped kitchen including tea, coffee, pint of milk in the fridge and basic foods in the cupboard - oil and rice. Games etc in the living room and a nice wee outdoor area as well.
Very convenient as close to the motorway. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the (accessible) room was very spacious, with good amenities. The breakfast was good, I didn't try the evening menu.
Breakfast was great, staff were really friendly and having a front door key meant we could come back at any time. Everything was very clean, location was spot on and the breakfast menu was fantastic
Breakfast was faultless everything cooked to perfection. Owners helpful and friendly. Location excellent although Lockerbie itself a disappointment. Room inc bathroom were to a high standard.
