I really liked the town. It's cozy, with old buildings and without skyscrapers. Beautiful hiking options. Nice museum. Many coffee places and dinning options. A little bit overpriced but still OK for a vacation. Definitely it's better to have a kitchen at you stay options to save some money on a food.

I went Sunday to Thursday in mid December, but it seems like "season" doesn't start in Lake Placid until Christmas day. A lot of attractions and restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was raining the only day the speed skating oval was open for me, so I had bad luck and would plan better next time. I didn't get to do bobsled experience and other things from the legacy site and was even turned away from the Gondola at whiteface as a sight seer. So just make sure the things you want to do will be open when you go.

Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town.
Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town. Everything is within walking distance and there is so much to see and do. It’s pricey but there are so many beautiful little shops and places to eat. Walk the lake or climb a mountain, you’ll keep busy for days.

The hotel was great, very clean, beds comfy, great breakfasts! Staff was friendly and personable. Nice keurig coffee machine in room, so you can bring your own k cups if you want. They only have Green Mountain brand. They also have decaf. Location was the best! Not very far from anything! Loved the top of Whiteface Mountain, can access by elevator or hiking. Was a continuous fragrance of pine, reminded me of Christmas. While at the ski jumps we had a chance to see some of the 6-14 year olds practice. That was great! We had a very good meal at Black Bear Restaurant! Getting around town is very easy. All in all a great place to stay for a few days.

we participated in the Olympic venues passport choice and had a wonderful time exploring and partaking at each venue.
the food at every restaurant was great, we liked the creperie and black bear restaurants. driving around was easy. We did mini golf, the visitors cruise on lake placid, had a manicure, made a bead bracelet, and browsed the shops. We also went to High falls gorge.
the scenery in the area cannot be beat, the trees, mountains, and lakes are awe inspiring. i think that was my favorite part.
The view of the lake and mountains from the room’s windows and balcony was stunning. The bathtub was a walk-in one that had a built in seat with a hand held shower head, as well as an overhead one. The bathroom itself also was spacious with plenty of places to put your toiletries. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Parking was included and finding a space was never a problem. The hotel is very well situated to walking the Lake Placid downtown shopping area easily, as well as getting to places by car.
Nothing in particular. Except it is located close to Lake Placid where I was assisting hikers on the NtP trail. I only stayed two of the seven days I reserved and checked out. Moved to the Bluebird hotel for the next five days. The carriage house was far less attractive than it appears on their website. The pool pictured was not available and looked like it had not been used in years. Hoping to get a refund from “Bookings” as the motel says they are responsible.
The place was beautiful, the jacuzzi was wonderful after a day of sight seeing, the breakfast was ok, but they didn't seem to be on top of keeping the hot dishes stocked. The cinnamon rolls were dry, but the muffins were good. The fruit was fresh. The chocolate waffles was a plus. The hotel was very clean, the rooms & bathrooms also. I really enjoyed my stay. Great location, just a short walk to Main Street and tge lake is right across the street.
The hotel setting is very rustic looking. Nice ambience music is very calming as you come into the building hallway.
Coffee and Tea is available
Lots of lounging space where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine.
Loved the shampoo, body wash, lotion collection as the smell feels like you just came out from the spa.
Hotel staff at Bluebird were all welcoming and friendly.
Amazing new renovation! Stayed here for the Lake Placid Horse Show and loved it. The rooms are adorably decorated and the bed is massive. Check-in is seamless with just a text for the door code, and management is super accommodating. Also in a great location to walk to town or the sack shack. Highly reccomend the Boha! Thanks!
the bunk beds were very convenient, and the warm bed coverings, the communal gas fireplace, fairly quiet only noise was the road in front of the lodge. The individual quaint cottages, very quiet could not hear any sound from the outside except the rain falling on the roof which was fine.
Location was great and staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and down comforters were a cozy addition in an Adirondack/ski town hotel. There was plenty of parking and it was a quick walk to the Olympic center and the heart of town.
We have been coming to Devlin's for years starting before they made massive renovations. The hotel's strongest points are a) its location (you can walk everywhere in Lake Placid) and the size of the rooms, especially the high ceilings. The swimming pool is also noteworthy.
Clean. Comfortable. On Main Street in Lake Placid overlooking Mirror Lake. Friendly staff. Generous parking under hotel. Just down the street from Olympic Center. Attached restaurant had delicious, reasonably priced breakfast.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lake Placid. The King Bedroom Suite we had was awesome.
The staff were great and very friendly. We wish we stayed longer. Definitely a place to return too.
Staff were super, very knowledgeable and make you feel welcome.
Love everything about this hotel. Will search out their other properties to try. The owners should be very proud of this property.
Huge rooms, very clean, free parking, and free breakfasts were a plus! Simple hotel but clean and convenient. Breakfast is also very simple: cereal, yogurts, bars, fruit, etc.
The room and lobby have a great view of the lake. The hotel has a great location within the Lake Placid village. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.
A nice place very close to Lake Placid with quiet and nice views. Located near lake but also short walk from town center. hosts very friendly and helpful.
