There is a guy called Jardel and he speaks English, which makes the language issue easier for those who don't speak Portuguese, he gave us recommendations for great places to travel in the area. We really liked the place and would come back again

Excellent hotel, very close to the main areas of interest, can walk everywhere. Fantastic breakfast (and different every day) - fruits and Pao de queijo are wonderful. Rooms are very clean. Friendly staff. No mosquitoes or pernilongos, not in the room, not by the pool.

Attractively located in the centre of Porto Seguro, Hotel Estalagem Porto Seguro features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. Location 10/10. In the heart of the city, but on a calm road, just in front of the river. A lot of space for free parking, and easy access to supermarket, shopping streets, restaurants, airport etc. Cleanings 10/10. Perfect. Common areas 9/10. Colonial style, with many buildings made of wood and a lot of trees. Some little renovation could be needed in the breakfast room. Room in general 8/10. Simple but effective room, with AC, fridge, TV. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Pool 8/10. Medium pool with waterfall, little renovation needed.
