They lent us 2 umbrellas which came in handy during rainy days. Try to get a one day bus ticket for swiss franc 8.20. It is very convenient to travel with that ticket. We personally recommend this place to stay in a outskirt of Luzern, yet is only a few bus stops from downtown Luzern.

Residence Kastanienbaum is a spacious one bedroom flat in a quiet neighbourhood ten minutes by car/bus from Lucerne. Both the bedroom and living room have a wonderful lake view (although we had pretty foggy weather all week). The kitchen is really well equipped and the welcome goodies are really tasty and much appreciated. There are two bathrooms: one with a bathtub, sink and washing machine/drier; the other with toilet, sink and shower. The extra bed in the living room was super comfortable as well. We stayed for a week in January and felt right at home. The Lucerne visitors card was very handy to take public transport to the shops and to visit Lucerne.
