Featuring a terrace and a bar, Chez Maria Julia Boutique Hotel is located in Praia, a 7-minute walk from Cova Figueira Beach and 0.7 miles from Praia de Quebra Canela. After 2 weeks on Santiago this is the only place I genuinely would recommend. First of all, the location. The famous Plateau is good only for a very short visit. This area is much nicer, safer, more relaxed. There are a lot of beautiful and colorful houses around, as well as many really nice restaurants / bars and the central beach (which is really good!) - all within 15 min walk max. The owner of the hotel really pays attention to every single detail. The staff is not just friendly, they are also very professional and truly understand what does it mean to work in HoReCa (which is rarely the case on Santiago unfortunately!) My stay was super comfortable and I appreciated that everyone was going above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and relaxed. I was very touched when I didn’t feel too well and the owner made sure to constantly check on me and provide me with everything and anything needed. The restaurant and bar by the hotel are very nice as well, overall it felt like a very fair value for money and I wish I’d make this place my main base during my trip.

Vivi Hotel offers accommodations in Praia. There is a games room on site and guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Every room at this motel is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Had issues on arrival and the staff were able to make sure I was safe and secure until I was up to speed. Awesome staff and genuine people.

Edifício 2PALMA is located in Praia, just 1.4 miles from Praia de Gamboa and 1.5 miles from Maria Pia Lighthouse. This apartment was new and excellent. Wifi worked well. Good water pressure and hot water for a short shower. Bedrooms are large and have AC. The host was very responsive and fixed the small issues we had, shorty after we contacted him. Would not hesitate to book again.

Just a 18-minute walk from Cova Figueira Beach and 1.2 miles from Praia de Quebra Canela, Appart Dolce Vita à Praia features accommodations in Praia, with a terrace and a bar. Appartement was nicely decorated and very clean! Our host was friendly and helped us a lot with informations, places to visit, renting car contacts. The location was very close to the Praça Center with lots of shops and restaurants.
