This hotel is on Reykjavík’s main street, Laugavegur, 820 feet from the waterfront promenade. It offers an intimate setting and tastefully designed rooms. Parking is free. This tiny hotel is safe, well managed, clean and the two gentleman that run it are just awesome. I was there for work but the hotel is in walking distance from main Reykjavik attractions. I passed them by every day. It is also a minute away from bus stop 13 where you can be picked up for your ride to the airport. I do recommend the Phoenix wholeheartedly.

Beds were very comfortable. There was a great selection at breakfast - everything you could want! Hotel also has a restaurant which is good for evenings where you arrive late from a tour or don't have much time before going on another. Checkin was very easy - no problems at all and were able to store luggage due to early arrival time. It is about 45 min walk away from centre of Reykjavik but this is reflected in the price but you come across cheaper restaurants and bars so worth looking around! All bus tours pick up from this location. Organised bus transfer to airport from hotel with no issues and very prompt arrival! Great time!

Despite of having a delay from the flight due to the changing weather was been attended really well and special thanks to Miss Theresa who had been the greatest host and made us feel like home. Was in a hectic schedule where we had to leave by 6-6:30 AM in the morning but once we got back to hotel almost during our entire stay there were snacks kept in the fridge which was more like a full course meal. Thank you again for being the perfect host !!!
