Just a 5-minute walk from Daitokuji Temple, Guesthouse Bon offers convenience in air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with no curfew. Kazuo and Rina are two of the most lovely, easy-going people. They work hard to make your stay special, and help with everything from directions and transport, to help with the language and cooking tips. This was honestly the "Home-stay" type experience I was looking for, immersing myself in the day to day of things in Japan. I also met a bunch of awesome people coming to stay at the Guest House, many returning after previous stays there when they were last in Kyoto. The photos do not do this place justice, and if you're looking for a place to stay, especially for an extended period, Guest House Bon is where I will be coming back to next time I'm in the country.

Kinkakuji is very close, so you could be there before being crowded. The owner is a nice and helpful guy.

Breakfast and dinner are fantastic! The host of the house are extremely hospitality. We all have wonderful vacation in Daitokuji Sushico.

This property is a good find. Very spacious and a good value for money. The appliances are high-end, including the toiletries! Below are the positives about the property, but more than those it was the hospitality of the owner, Mamoru-san, that won as over. He welcomed us with some snacks and drinks in the fridge, and helped us plan our travels for the next few days and with arranging our luggages for transport to the next hotel. + size as it fits at least a family of four + mix of modern and traditional structure + facilities and appliances + heaters at every corner of the villa + Netflix on TV + picturesque gardens + distance from bus station + welcome snacks and drinks in the fridge + owner’s and staff’s hospitality

Objekat Cozy house 411 free wifi a rented electric bicycle, udaljen oko 3,1 km od znamenitosti Svetilište Kitano Tenmangu, nudi smeštaj sa balkonom i kuvalom, kao i pogled na grad. The owner was very friendly and welcoming right after we reached the nearby station, and the following service was phenomenal. We had 4 big luggages, but he helped us carry all the way up to the 4th floor (no elevator unfortunately, so make sure to carry a moderate amount for your own sake). Location-wise, I suppose the only well-known attraction to foreign tourists is Kinkaku-ji, however, the owner spent quite a while explaining to us what other surrounding attractions and local food we could try, which were way less crowded than the usual spots like Fushimi Inari and the like (definitely worth a visit if you are more into discovering the serenity side of Kyoto). Our family did not know Japanese very well, but he made us feel welcome and our travel experience in Kyoto was very much fulfilled.
