Hotel Ninja Black is well located in Kyoto, and features a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Hotel was as advertised. Rooms were clean, relatively spacious, and the hotel has a ninja theme. The check-in was fast and efficient. There is a vending machine for drinks inside, that is appreciated. There is also a common room where you can grab a drink along with a selection of books in English and Japanese. In addition, there is a garden outside with a couple of tables. The location is close to the Imperial Palace, there are a few convenience stores nearby and other food joints.

Set in Nishijin, Villa Front Kyoto Seimei ヴィラフロント京都晴明 offers accommodation with a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. A microwave and kettle are also featured. The room was amazing. Very close with the bus stop and Family Mart. The electric was completely. I recommend this place for everyone visiting.

Nestled in a quiet residential area, Kyoto Brighton Hotel is located in the heart of Kyoto, a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Imperial Palace. All guest rooms are non-smoking and soundproofed. My room was large with a very big shower and tub area and full size soaking tub. Everything was updated and the mattress was very comfortable. The room had everything I needed, including a small fridge and a handy in-room safety box. Breakfast was included with my room and I could choose between the excellent Japanese breakfast in the Japanese restaurant overlooking a garden, or opt for the Western-style buffet which featured made to order eggs and omelets and a wide array of delicious options. I liked the location near the Gosho Imperial Palace and the Marutamachi subway station. When I was feeling lazy I took the free shuttle to Oike/Karasuma, where I could catch two different subways (east-west and north-south). The open atrium in the center featured a coffee shop/bar and was a pleasant place to chat with friends. I used to live in Kyoto and this is one of my favorite parts of town, very convenient yet quiet. I can speak Japanese, but was glad that the front desk staff included some very good English speakers. I found the staff at this hotel very friendly and professional throughout the property. After staying for one week, I found it very hard to leave. I will definitely be back.

In a prime location in the centre of Kyoto, THE JUNEI HOTEL Kyoto Imperial Palace West provides Asian breakfast and free WiFi. This small boutique hotel is located in quite area of Kyoto, close to the imperial palace. The staff made our stay very pleasant and were always ready to accommodate any request or questions we had. The rooms where large even by western standards, more than 40 m2 and the bathroom with the tub was wonderful. Also it in a very quiet location so there is no noise of any kind.

Situated in Kyoto and with Kyoto International Manga Museum reachable within 1.4 km, Hotel Traveling Bridge Nijojo features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi... Room was super spacious and clean. Great bathtub and water pressure! Sometimes it takes ages for warm water to come out but here it was almost instantaneous which was awesome. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice :)

Located in Kyoto, 1.1 km from Nijo Castle and 1.7 km from the centre, Rinn Shiki Juraku provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Absolutely loved the character and charm of the hotel, the facilities, the lounge area for breakfast/evening drinks, ease of use of the washer/dryer that was there. The hotel was in a quiet residential section of Kyoto, yet access to Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and downtown Kyoto was very easy and within a 15 minute walk. Access to the train stations and Uber/Taxi's were equally easy. Amazing local restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel - highly recommend Daigan around the corner for an amazing sushi with an engaging/entertaining/welcoming chef.

Ideally located in the centre of Kyoto, Kokonoe Machiya offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. The host has a very deep knowledge of the city and he's more than happy to give advice to make the most of your stay in Kyoto. The facilities are beautiful and clean.

In a prime location in Kyoto, Hostel Sui Kyoto provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. The design and layout was cool, very private capsules. Night lighting great.

Set in Kyoto, 1.4 km from Nijo Castle and 2.3 km from the centre, Ryokan Tanoya offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Amazing experience that we will remember all our life. The futons were so confortable, the design of the room, and the garden. The breakfast was great. I dream about coming back and relax :)
