Conveniently located a 4-minute walk from JR Ikebukuro Station east exit, Keio Presso Inn Ikebukuro features compact rooms with free WiFi. Very clean, tidy, and in a great location close to Ikebukuro station. The breakfast that was included was also great and the staff were all lovely.

It was my first onsen experience in Japan, so I didn't know what to expect. I asked the staff at the reception counter for advice, and they very gladly gave me an introduction to onsen etiquette. The staff I asked was actually male and wasn't familiar with the female bathhouse, but he made sure to check with his colleagues before giving me the information, which was very kind of him. The onsen was quiet when I got in, not many people were using it. There's only 1 pool available, but it's more than enough for a good soak after a long day. I would recommend bringing your own makeup cleanser as the one provided may not be powerful enough for a deep cleanse if you wear thick makeup. The hotel provides a choice of amenities at the reception desk, and even a drinks bar during nighttime! It was definitely one of the most welcoming hotels I've been to!
