I absolutely loved my stay and everything about it, but a few highlights are: the double bed was massive and very comfortable; the shower cabin was extremely spacious; the check-in process took less than 5 minutes, which is a huge rarity for Latvia; the breakfast served was simple yet still had a good selection of hot and cold foods, fruits, and other items. The hotel was half the price of other accommodation in the centre yet it managed to provide the level of comfort I had rarely experienced in Riga before.

Coffee and hot chocolate are available for purchase from a vending machine for €1.50 and saved our morning.

The Rixwell Gertrude Hotel is a family-friendly, boutique hotel located in a 19th century Art Nouveau style building. This 4-star hotel is a 15-minute walk from the St. Very nice hotel, perfectly placed 15 min from the city centre. A room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay here again.
