For example. the breakfast buffet is served by small portions, you can requests specific items if they run out. There are glass water bottles in the room, as well as refillable soap dispensers. Hamam is only turned on when people want to use it. Happy to see those little steps towards more sustainable travel! The cumulative effect of those actions make great impact!

The rooms and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The stuff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We liked the location because it is in a quiet neibourhood and not in the center and allows you to relax after hectic days of touring the city.

York House is a beautiful old hotel full of character and charm. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and the staff were lovely. We also liked the location, it's a slightly quieter part of Lisbon, but close to some attractions and with a great variety of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.

Our room was very comfortable and loved the décor and feel of the hotel. The terrace and honesty bar were a nice feature offering good views out to the river. We only needed breakfast one morning but it was very good with plenty of choice and great to sit outside in such a lovely inner courtyard The staff and receptionist were very helpful and polite offering us plenty of local guidance. We would definitely stay again
