Well set in the La Medina district of Tunis, Dar el médina is located 11 miles from Salammbo Tophet Archaeological Museum, a 5-minute walk from Dar Lasram Museum and 600 yards from Kasbah Square. We liked the great availability and warmth of the staff, great breakfast (we had stayed a more expensive hotel during our first stay in Tunis, but it did not even compare in terms of breakfast, availability, response and communication). They arranged a taxi to take us to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said and ultimately to the airport, they greated us with water, fruits, coffee and tea on the house. The owner is highly involved in the business and I guess it shows. We only had our plane at night so they allowed us after the tour to spend some time in the lounges after checking ou, kept our bags and it all seemed so natural, peaceful and quiet as if we were at home. The inner courtyards, terraces and architecture are all very beautiful, but this can easily be found in Tunis, what makes the difference is the quality of service and kindness. I do hope they make good money from this, they desearve it. They made Tunis more beautiful for us. The access is also comfortable, from the Palace of the Government on Rue de la Kasbah and left, no intricate alleways, no gettong lost.

Located 10 miles from Salammbo Tophet Archaeological Museum, Royal Victoria - Ex British Embassy offers 4-star accommodations in Tunis and has a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. The location is perfect. So easy to get a taxi or for someone to drop you off. 10 minutes to the main train station for south bound trains and not much further to the station for the trains going north. The breakfast has the best juices. Overall so good

Palais Bayram is a gem! It’s an amazing place, hidden in the heart of the medina. Absolutely beautiful. We had the traditional suite (nr 2) and I highly recommend that one. Stunning!
