It's a great place to spend a few days away from the buzz of the big city. Élio is a wonderful host, who makes us feel like we're home. His sister, Gina is a magnificent cook. And Igor, the farm's dog is so sweet! Don't be fooled by his size, he's a gentle giant.

Set 19 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela, 44 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach and 20 km from Manteigas Hot Springs, Casa do Outeirinho offers accommodation situated in Sabugueiro. The house was in the center of the town, although we´ve been offered one on the outskirts. It was easy to go everywhere and there were many facilities such as bars and shop just next to it. The house consisted of 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, small kitchen and terrace. It was great, as we could cook our meals there. If you are into hiking, there are some hikes they you can do without using your car. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Cantinho da Estrela is located in Seia and includes free WiFi access. The guest house is just 9 km from the green areas of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. We loved the location and character of the village. Easy parking on the streets. The house was welcoming the bedroom and toilet were a good size. Good aircon and host was lovely and accommodating.

Warm and enthusiastic welcome from hostess using practiced sign language. So this is what a real Portuguese manor house really looked and felt like! Luxury stay in the heart of old Guarda. Within walking distance of all the old city and its shops and restaurants. Across the street from the magnificent cathedral.

Featuring pool views, Tranca da Barriga - Casa do Vinho by Quinta De São Tiago offers accommodation with balcony, around 27 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela. Owner and his granddaughter made us very thorough excursion about production of vines and plentiful vine tasting after that. Owner changed our room to nice suite without any surcharge. This was very nice evening and night in Quinta de Sao Tiago. Also good breakfast.
