Erki House and owner Ahmed are amazing! The location is superb with a short walk to Abu Simbel. I can’t recommend enough staying at least 1 night in Abu Simbel and staying at Erki house! Ahmed is the definition of a great host and will go above and beyond to make sure you have an easy stay. I recommend letting him know what your plans are and he will help you with anything you need. Ahmed got me ticket to light/sound show and day ticket next day for Abu Simbel at same cost if you walk up to window but without hassle of purchasing one at temples. Erki house is spacious, clean and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning that is offered is authentic Egyptian made by his mom. I will be coming back to Erki house when I return to Egypt for sure! You will come as a guest and leave as family! Thanks Ahmed and Erki house!!

We had a great stay at Abu Simbel Nubian Guest House! The host was the most hospitable person we have met in all Egypt! We got welcome drinks, a plate of fruit and there were drinks for us in the fridge also for free and not just water but also pepsi. The breakfast is included in the stay however we told him we won’t be able to make it because we will leave early so he made us a breakfast box so we could eat it in the car. So kind! And he also hooked us up with the tickets for sound and light show. The room was very clean and cozy! Wr highly recommend you to stay here when you visit Abu Simbel

The owner and his family are extremely hospitable and helpful with everything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We booked two rooms and they both had twin beds. Rooms were clean but bathroom and other areas of the house were not kept well. Kitchen was looking filthy and bathroom had a bad smell. The host is very friendly and generous, for example bringing coffee/ tea or even something to eat at his own cost. He takes much care that you feel very well and I liked it much to talk with him. The room is clean, the bed good, but you should not expect a luxurious room. If you arrive by plane there is bus transfer to your accomodation free of charge.
