Clos Bernon is a tiny bit of heaven that borders the river in a bucolic and peaceful part of France. The view was extraordinary! Our rooms were spotless; the bathrooms were brand new. Eveline made a beautiful breakfast for us and wanted to please us in every way. This is true France; the kindest people, the most beautiful settings, and service of the highest degree. Merci beaucoup mon chere amie! Thank you for making us a small part of your life.

Fanny the host was very welcoming into her home. The pool was an added bonus on hot days to cool down. You have use of all house facilities which is beautifully decorated.

Absolutely stunning property in Libourne. The decor throughout is beautiful and the bedrooms are very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Corinne and Laurent are incredibly friendly hosts and regularly check that you have everything you need. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious with so much effort put in for the guests. Would highly recommend a stay here if you want to visit saint emilion, which is a very easy 7 minute train ride away or 15 minutes in a taxi to many of the vineyards.

It’s beautifully furnished and so comfortable. Be was very nice and the spaces were inviting. Staff were also amazing. My friend got sick and they really took care of her. Food was also excellent.

This is an absolute gem. The location. The deck with the view, the private pool overlooking the Dordogne. We have two small dogs and needed to get their documents stamped for entry back to the UK. The vet in Madrid didn’t know what to do. I explained it to Jean-Charles (the owner) and he told me he would speak to his son. He came out of his way to ask exactly what we needed. He booked a local vet for us and the next morning everything was sorted. The grounds are nice and well kept. It’s close to St Emillion where we spent a day tasting the beautiful wines. We would definitely go back. Take fly spray to spray your room and some insect repellent so you can sit on the decking in the evening. If your up early enough the sunrise is spectacular.

The hosts were friendly and very helpful. Went above and beyond to make restaurant reservations, brought ice to our room when requested, volunteered to carry our luggage upstairs and explained the lights, etc in our room, etc etc.. very lovely couple and felt like we were friends by the time we left.
