Booked this hotel as it was close to the venue of a family wedding. Used the room for getting ready rather than for overnight stay but suited my needs. Hotel was very clean and accommodating, very helpful during booking and offered early check out and late check out for a small fee. Room was very clean and suited my needs, Staff were very helpful. For the price the room was fantastic and would highly recommend.

If you want to stay in an old traditional house right in the middle of the Latin Quarters of Fontainhas, that’s the place! The terrace is amazing, full of beautiful plants. Jeanette and her family are the best, helped me with absolutely everything, from booking car transfers to preparing the breakfast earlier before walking tours! I would definitely stay here again!

I have no words for this stay, but I will try to find! We were given a beautiful and really big room with colonial furniture and a small balcony with garden view and a lovely rocking chair. Everything in the room was well thought of (comfortable bed, fridge with cool water, fan, air condition, base for two suitcases to rest, a very big wardrobe, a vanity table, good quality toiletries, even toothpaste and toothbrushes). The owner has very carefully selected the furniture (some belonged to his family as he shared with us) and really cares for the house (deliberately I call it house and not guest house) and for his guests. The couple who owns Hospedaria is so attentive with every little detail and always listens and tries to help with everything (tips for transport, money exchange, covid test, taxi, beaches to visit). The food offered for breakfast is based on local recipes and there is variety that satisfies all requirements and preferences (the garden is lovely for breakfast, but the dining room is also very cosy with paintings of local artists and there is even an old sewing machine made into table). Cleanliness was immaculate all over Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho and the location is absolutely charming. Lots of restaurants, shops, churches nearby, so close to the centre, but calm during night and generally a very vibrant and colourful neighbourhood to stay.

The magically great place to stay. Everything in interior of this historical premise was made with a big taste and art. The kind and clever owners to relate with too. Therefore I guess its always fully booked. So if you eventually have a chance to book it - don't miss it

The main thing i look for when booking any of my stays is that the washroom is extremely clean with no signs of infestation. Being a newly opened stay, Casa Coutinho thoroughly ticked that box. The location is also extremely convenient with having the Mall just a few minutes walk away, same with the supermarket and small line of restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious which includes a fridge, kitchen sink and a tv with netflix youtube etc ready to use. Finally, big thanks to Mr Uday for taking such lovely care of us😊
