We were so warmly welcomed, food was delicious and it was great to be in the quiet outside of Thanjavur which is a pretty noisy and busy city. Also, everybody was so helpful in helping us booking some stuff for our trips.

There was outdoor seating in the garden which was a bonus. The breakfast was great. The staff were incredibly helpful and obliging. The whole building was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The location was quiet but near the temple. I would thoroughly recommend the Tanjore Inn.

The accommodation is very tastefully furnished, the bed is very comfortable, the room had both a fan and AC and a warm water shower. I had the best night's sleep since we arrived in India. The owner, Usha, was a lovely and helpful hostess and Rama's cooking was excellent. I wish we had known Usha also had a homestay in Trichy (Tranquility)... Highly recommended.

We liked the unusual decor of the hotel with quiet spaces to relax on the first and second floor. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean. We could walk to good restaurant (Vasanta Bhuram) by the bus station in 10 minutes with a local Bombay lassi stall near the restaurant that served the best cold lassi with fermented butter milk on top!
