The house is right outside the town of Egilsstadir, very easy to find. We were met by a very friendly owner and his two lovely dogs. He was extremely helpful and the house was truly a gem! Decorated with old-style furniture, but very cosy, clean and it has a hot tub outside with an amazing view! We wish we could have stayed longer and can definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to spend time at East Iceland!

The room was great, in a quiet place not far from our itinerary route. Breakfast was awesome as well. The host gave us a map with the area, told us about the nearby sights and interests, even a nearby hiking route of 4kms. We did it the next morning and it was well worth it.

For us it was an emergency stay due to road closures, but the host was extremely hospitable and friendly. It was not planned stay and our stay was just for waiting a better weather, however it was very convenient and nice place to stay. Facilities are excellent and everything was exceptional.
