The innkeeper is an artist and she acts as your surrogate mother while you are here. Be sure to ask for room 203 which is set up as a traditional Japanese living room. She and her husband got up in the middle of the night to see me off. I couldn't recommend more highly.

Whole flat, spacious and comfortable. Just 5 minutes walk from train station. Some restaurants and spots suggestion and public shower nearby.

Close to Hira station, so didnt need to walk. It is right by Lake Biwa. Pillow was good.

The Japanese house setting with neat and clean rooms. Also the additional manga, books and board games were entertaining too! Everything was well arranged with proper and clear instructions about their operation. The rooms were very spacious too. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.
