One of the best places we stayed in all of Sri Lanka. The best host who is kind, communicative, attentive, and a great conversationalist. Facilities are brand new and felt like home. The room was big and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning was great, the balcony overlooking the mountains was a sight to behold. Room was spotless clean. Sri Lankan breakfast and tea was excellent everyday. Location feels private and secluded even though town is just a 5 minute tuktuk ride away. Highly recommended.

This was our favourite place to stay from our entire trip. Everything was fantastic. The room, facilities, the view, hosts and breakfast. The room was cool enough with a large ceiling fan but there was no air con (not an issue for us though).

Cute little room, loved all the sustainable wood features. Owner very passionate and motivated, seemed like a great guy. Only two rooms, nice balcony overlooking the jungle. Great Sri Lankan breakfast served on the balcony. Only spent one night but would have stayed more if they weren’t booked. Highly recommended.

The staff was amiable. The staff was so kind and helpful in a silent, unobtrusive manner that the team warmed our hearts. We were offered a welcome drink at arrival. The Breakfast was massive and good. The room was immaculate; the view from the balcony was beautiful. You could see the waterfalls, and in the beautiful tree in front, they were everywhere fireflies and kingfisher birds. The room has four sockets, a kettle, a refrigerator and tea accessories. The water pressure is intense, and there is always hot water. The guesthouse is small, with three rooms only. You might need to tell your driver that you are searching for Ella grand view; they use both names or "end of temple road". It’s a simple guesthouse but super clean, great location, great staff and the most kind-hearted staff.

The host, Ake, was very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms and the terrace is really stunning and with lots of beautiful birds. We saw chestnut-headed beeaters, common hawk-cuckoo, woodpecker, brown-headed barbet, sunbirds and red-vented bulbuls. The property is away from the road and quiet which is a bonus, however, still in a short walking distance from the city center. AC was working fine, the bath is the best we have tried on our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka and the breakfast is good.

The host is very kind and helpful, the space outside and inside the room is excellent, the view is very good, the location is great, it is very clean, and the breakfast is wonderfull and delicious.

Gayan and his two brothers were the most gracious and fabulous hosts, and they run a very clean and comfortable hotel in the hills. Gayan very safely drove us around on a half day tour and picked us up from town after dinner on his trusty tuktuk. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Delicious large homecooked meals by the host's mother. They are doing up the upper levels of the hotel for more rooms and an even better view!

Third eye is located at the end of the town and five minutes walk to the train station. This was the best place I have stayed in during my travels around Sri Lanka. It is located up a steep hill and then some stairs. But it is worth the effort for the view. I was met at the entrance, I think by the son and mother and kindly he carried my case to the fantastic room. They have two rooms, Ruby and Opal, both with stunning views. The room was large, modern, and luxurious with excellent facilities. The bed was super comfortable. The balcony had an amazing view of Adams Peak, and you can also see the train below. Good Internet connection, great lighting, and sockets by the bed. Mini bar with supermarket prices. Also, a great TV package with premium channels and English movies. A large bathroom with a walk-in powerful shower. Breakfast was served downstairs where I was given an allsortment of freshly made roti, pancakes, toast, a platter of fruit, fruit juice, and water. It was a delicious and a generous amount of food for one, but I had the rest for lunch. The owners did an outstanding job of hosting me, even messenging me if everything was alright and if I needed anything. This is the best hospitality I have received here, and I would definitely be staying again when I return. You won't be disappointed.

Everything. The accommodation was too notch. Rowan and his with and mom and baby are a mean team. They are warm and friendly people and nothing is to much for them to do The property, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast delicious. I can highly recommend this establishment.
