I paid 10 EUR extra for breakfast and it was very strange to only get 5 eggs, two with double yolks, all of them turned out to be raw; I had a problem with how to cook them because the hosts disappeared and there was only a coffee kettle in the room, but I got it sorted. On the outside door I found a bag of fresh bread delivered at night. There was milk, cheese and tasty marmalade in the fridge. The biggest surprise was the free bicycle with helmet and pump waiting for me in a nice patio. The ocean cliffs near Maria Vinagre are very beautiful, but the shortest trip is 3 km by bike. I liked the wild Praia da Carriagem approached from Rogil . In Rogil there is a very good country restaurant Da Batata Doce open late at night where all dishes, desserts and drinks contain sweet potatoes.

The host was absolutely amazing, a very kind man. One of our rooms had a lovely view of the ocean and the beach. The place was quiet and nice, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was perfect and the evening meals in the attached restaurant as well, staff was lovely.

The Sudoeste Guest House has 4 rooms with private bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV, patio and shared kitchen. It also has a T0 apartment with a terrace and overlooking the River Seixe and Montes de Odeceixe.

Host was super helpful, we were hiking, got in the rain, our clothes were wet and sweaty and she took them home, washed them for us and even hang them out for drying. We were so thankful for that. Plus when host saw that we are two big guys, just under 2m, she gave us bigger room. 😄👍🏻
