Er hing een goede sfeer, veel leuke mensen ontmoet. Net buiten de drukte van het stadje. Leuke uitvalsbasis! Personeel spreekt goed Engels, en helpt je met alles.

Lost World Sanjiang Guest house heeft een gedeelde lounge, een terras, een restaurant en een bar in Sanjiang. Het pension is huisdiervriendelijk en heeft ook gratis WiFi. The hotel is built as a traditional house right beside the village square and it's traditional drum house. Wei was very helpful. He booked us a taxi from the train station to the hotel , explained about the activities in the area and the spatial traditional dinner and dancing. He even let us keep the room until 16:30 with no additional charge

Junshe Boutique Guest House biedt comfortabele accommodatie in Guilin, gunstig gelegen op slechts 1 km afstand van het Seven Star Park. Great location, very helpful hosts, beautiful and clean room. Meals were also delicious.

Baike Boutique Hotel ligt in de rijstterrassen van Longji en beschikt over een restaurant. De meeste kamers hebben een eigen balkon met een prachtig uitzicht op het terras. Even better than the pictures! Perfect location. Fantastic and helpful staff. I wish I had stayed much longer than two nights. I can't overhype this hotel!

The Giggling Tree ligt op slechts 5 km afstand van Yangshuo. Dit unieke pension is gevestigd in een gehucht, Little Mountain Gate. We enjoyed a delightful four night stay at Giggling Tree! Our hosts Alice, Laura and Helen and all the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Not only was the location picture perfect and gorgeous, the personalised service provided by the team made our stay special, and meant that we could enjoy the sights and experiences of the area easily.

Zen Box House ligt in het dorp Jiuxian, op 9 km van het centrum van Yangshuo, en biedt een restaurant en gratis fietsen. Loved the laid back vibe of the village and the hotel. I was after a retreat from the city and that’s exactly what I got, didn’t want to leave! 老张 is very hospitable - always checking if you’re hungry and then will whip something up in the kitchen. Another guest that arrived said they wanted to hike some of the nearby hills so 老张 was like, ‘let’s go!’ and took us - the entrance is through someone else’s kitchen/back garden so we’d never have got access ourselves. He also mentioned he could take us to places to swim, climb etc. Really love the village atmosphere, everyone knows each other and knows the secret routes/best food spots. Reminded me of my rural village community in the UK. I was able to borrow 老张‘s road bike and cycled to the river to catch one of the rafts, it’s about a ~30min leisurely cycle to get there. There are cycle/foot paths along the river too, so another nice way to experience the scenery. The hotel itself is very quaint. I had one of the Japanese style single rooms and was very happy there, it looks exactly like the picture. They will pre-heat the bed for you in the colder months, nice touch! Water, tissues, towel etc all provided. The toilets and showers are just downstairs, a 10 second walk, and are very pleasant. The toilets are the Japanese ones with heated seats etc. The other helper is also lovely, and she packed my rucksack with fresh pomelo when I set off for my cycle excursion. They grow pomelo etc. beside the house, and also have chickens so eggs fresh too. Loved the rooftop, very zen and great view over the hills. They also have some friendly cats. Will 100% return.

Our Inn ligt op 2 minuten met de veerboot van Xing Ping Town en biedt een weids uitzicht op de bergen. Het hotel beschikt over gratis WiFi, een restaurant en gezellige kamers met kabel-tv. The inn is very nice and the staff was really helpful. The owner speaks English which is quite handy. It is possible to have dinner and breakfast there which are also quite good. The hotel is located on the left bank of the river, this is very good to start hiking but be aware that the last boat from the town centre is around 7pm, so it is hard to stay longer in the town center

Yangshuo Village Inn wordt omgeven door bergen, rivieren en ondergrondse grotten en ligt op slechts 5 minuten lopen van Moon Hill en op 15 minuten rijden van het West Street Tourist Centre. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam met het regelen van tours. De locatie was perfect, het was op loopafstand van de moonhill. Verder sliep het bed comfortabel. Wat ook erg fijn was, is dat de menukaart erg uitgebreid was voor zowel de westerse als Chinese keuken.
