A recently renovated property, New Rooftop Penthouse with Oceanview is located in Santa Maria near Praia António Sousa, Praia de Santa Maria and Ponta da Fragata Beach. Robert is a truly wonderful host! He made us feel welcome right away and offered to show us around Santa Maria. He helped us every day with any question we had. The apartment is really neat and modern, everything you need. Would definitely come again.

Set in Santa Maria and only 200 metres from Praia António Sousa, Ocean Roof offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We had a wonderful stay at the OceanRoof. The apartments are modern, very clean and superbly equipped - very important for us: the comfortable and clean bed. The hotel is also very quiet and ideally located for us, right by the beach and also by AnguloBeach for water sports. JC is a really attentive host who was always helpful with many bookings such as car rental, taxi and restaurant tips. An absolute recommendation for a stay on Sal!

Featuring a garden and views of sea, Guesthouse Le Châtelain is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Santa Maria, 1.5 km from Praia da Ponta Preta. 20 out of 10 points for the host :D Peter gave us a warm welcome and gave us all the information we needed in order to have a great stay. He was reachable all the time and was there when we had questions. The kitchen has everything you need to cook(it even had more equipment than what I have at home in my own kitchen e.g. orange juice maker). The accommodation also offers free water which is drinkable and a lot of towels, soap, a hairdryer and even a welcome bottle of wine. Room is very clean and has mosquito protection on the balconies. On the top of the accommodation you can find a beautiful terrace to relax and hang your clothes after washing them (washing machine available in the accommodation). Peter sent us so many suggestions and names of people that offer activities, everyone will find something they like. The accommodation is located in villa verde which is almost like a small village for itself with its own supermarket which is open until 8pm. Transportation to the city is free. Bikini beach is super close and beautiful. Also u get 15% off at Bo Beach Bar.

EXCELLENT location close to the beach and rental of windsurfing equipment. A location on the other side of town - at a location within nature away from traffic and the other big hotels. AMAZING freshly prepared breakfast. A wonderful room - taking the price into account. And a VERY friendly and helpful staff.

Offering a garden and garden view, Surfactivity Guest House is set in Santa Maria, 600 metres from Praia António Sousa and less than 1 km from Ponta da Fragata Beach. The guesthouse is one of a kind. The buildings is stunning and well maintained full of color and flowers. The place is very well decorated. Originally the guesthouse is a surfers place, so they can arrange everything you want. But also if you don’t want to surf you are welcome. I stayed in a 2 persons studio and everything was extremely clean. Lilly took care of me as a real guest. She is polite and always available for help. The guesthouse is only 300 meters away from a quiet beach and nice beach bars. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby (try Art Kafe). I will come back and recommend al my friends to stay at this lovely place.
