Helga and Margit were wonderful hosts. The gueasthouse is beautiful and the room was very big, neat and comfortable. I will definitely visit them again in the future.

After traveling for two months in Austria and Germany and having stayed in numerous hotels and pensions I would have to say this was our most favourite. The hosts were the most welcoming, friendly and convivial of all the one’s we have stayed with. The breakfast was superb and the facilities were great with lovely countryside views.

Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice. I particularly liked the self-serve coffee machine and the ability to make myself a double-shot cappuccino. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful with huge gardens and a short tree-lined path to the lake. The box spring bed was a delight.

This Alpine-style hotel is located in Rottau, 4 km from Lake Chiemsee. Gasthof Fischstüberl offers spacious rooms, free WiFi and a balcony offering panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. Good location with great view, nice village, kind staff, delicious food. Recommend for families with small kids.

Hotel Garni Möwe am See offers rooms on the banks of the Chiemsee Lake in Prien am Chiemsee. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. Great location with just steps away from the boats to take you to the Herren/Fraueninsel. Incredibly friendly staff (especially Kevin). Superb cleanliness. Delicious Breakfast. I felt at home.

This traditional Bavarian guest house is situated at the foot of the Hochfelln mountain, amid the scenic hiking routes, mountain bike trails and cross-country ski runs of the Chiemgau region. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast perfect, location perfect with direct access to Hochfelln mountain. But really what made this special for us was the welcoming nature of the hosts.
