The place is tucked away in a small neighborhood, which is quite charming. Guests should be aware, though, that cars can't enter the area, so a short walk with your luggage is necessary to reach the place. The breakfast was also delicious and they even packed it to go!

Located in the city of Yogyakarta, just 12 minutes drive away from Malioboro Shopping Street. Raintree Boutique Villa & Gallery is a classic interior villa with Javanese-European design. Very interesting location, with antique and valuable architecture, like an art gallery with some nice furniture and pictures on the walls. Food was amazing, staff as well, very polite and helpful. Staff was very attentive to all our needs and extra, they helped us to buy a train ticket on our name on our last day.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Perfect location near the Prambanan complex.
