Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram is a recently renovated guest house in Vrindāvan, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. I write this review from a specific perspective — I had arrived in Vrindavan with a group but then stayed a few days on my own. I have been to Vrindavan previously but I was a little nervous about staying solo as a western woman… Vraja can present some challenges for us in regards to attracting attention, even if you are an experienced devotee. I usually stay at MVT so I can walk directly to ISKCON by myself, but it was full and I am SO GLAD I found Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram instead! It perfectly threads the needle between having comfortable rooms and being peaceful and still in the center of Vrindavan, with the real spirit of Vrindavan and not like some of the newer developments. “Ashram” conjures up thoughts of austerities — and on the same trip I stayed alone in a Math that I couldn’t handle alone… but the rooms here are incredibly comfortable and provide things that seem luxurious in an ashram, especially for the price. I had a king-sized bed with comfortable mattresses, multiple pillows, and duvets — no fuzzy brown blankets … A wardrobe, a table and chairs for sitting, a KETTLE and tea/coffee cups with some hot drink packets and even digestive biscuits!!! Also an amazing ceiling fan, real towels in the washroom, a shower head providing hot water with water pressure instead of a bucket… etc. There’s even a TV with cable, I believe, but I did not get a chance to use it. there’s also an enclosed colonial-style veranda looking out onto a lawn which is a peaceful place to enjoy your beverage. The ashram features a small temple in the back which seems to offer small aartis daily, but this really seemed like more of a guest house than a residential ashram. anyways here is why you should choose this place as a solo woman — there is always security and the staff are AMAZING and super helpful! I booked specifically based on other Booking reviews that expressed this.

Situated within 300 metres of Dasaswamedh Ghat and 600 metres of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Anand Kanan features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Varanasi. Truly amazing place! Super clean, perfect service, great food. The location is superb for exploring the ghats and the old city. The host is very helpful, generous and friendly, always there for you. The staff are great, we had really good connection with all of them. Only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

Anukampa Paying Guest House is located in Agra, 1.7 km from Taj Mahal, and provides free WiFi. Everything was perfect and I had an amazing stay! Prashant and the team are welcoming, friendly and help you out with anything. The atmosphere is cosy, it is all perfectly clean and the place is within walking distance from Taj Mahal. You can also eat at the guesthouse, I had the best chai and amazing biriyani. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Agra.

Situated in Agra, 2.2 km from Taj Mahal, Max Guest House features a terrace and views of the garden. Free WiFi is available. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The terrace with plants is a nice place to relax. The location is out of the most chaotic spots but allows 10 minutes to reach the main places of interest. Max is a nice and caring host! I recommend this place

Centrally located just a 10-minute drive to Varanasi Junction Railway Station and the city centre, Azure Family Paying Guest House offers free Wi-Fi access at all areas and houses a restaurant. Sona hospitality was exceptional! A very warm and kind person. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. I stayed there for 3 weeks and felt like at home. Will definitely come back on my next visit in Varanasi. Thanks you!
