A traditional Icelandic breakfast is served every day at Vogafjos Café, located in a cowshed 3 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. Dinner based on local produce, such as smoked lamb and trout, is also served here. Second time here and everything was as perfect as I remembered. Great local food and breakfast.

With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. Our host was wonderful, very knowledgeable of the area with lots of tips. We arrived to a wonderful surprise of homemade bread and food in the kitchen for breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The patio has a great view of the sunset which was wonderful after a long day. If I travel to Myvatn again, I know where I will be staying :)

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. Bathrooms are shared. The staff is very helpful since we came later than 8:00 pm but we got all information/help we need. The room is clean and quiet. The location is good that is close to the lake Myvatn and also the camp-site where my friend stayed. Good value.

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. On-site facilities include 2 hot tubs and a communal TV lounge. Free WiFi is available in the common areas. Amazing hospitality. They allowed us to stay hours before the check in due to the bad weather conditions. Then when leaving our car was stuck in the snow and they helped us to move it. Amazing breakfast and dinner food quality, all homemade.

The nearest airport is Húsavík Airport, 51 km from the guest house. it’s a camping but ! one of the best places I have stayed in Iceland extremely clean absolutely calm perfect location you can get an incredible breakfast in a nearest farm guest that’s twice more expensive to stay but you can go there for food definitely recommended
