木木木木 KIGI MOKU MOKU ligger i Sasebo, 27 km från Huis Ten Bosch, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en terrass. Breakfast was so awesome. The owner lady got up early in the morning and she prepared a Japanese-style breakfast with warm care. I was able to use the sauna even after the breakfast, so I had a pleasant meal and enjoyed the sauna. I left after enjoying a very good rest in hospitality that I can't feel anywhere else in Japan. The bedding in the room was comparable to a 5-star hotel. All the usable spaces were really clean and organized, so just looking at them made me feel good. The usable space is very large compared to typical accommodations in Japan.

One day, soon I hope, I'll be able to be fluent enough with my Japanese to review places like this one. Nevertheless, still not the case. :'( This place could be described with one world: fabulous. Really, totally, incredibly fabulous. When the bus left me in the middle of nowhere, when I crossed a town slowly, without population to carry out its history, when I found out that the school before the guesthouse was in fact the guesthouse (yeah, should have checked /o), I was as excited as afraid. That was for naught though. Understanding the village his population and history, helps a lot understanding the place. Without children to study in it, the school was closed around 10 years ago, and then repaired, treated with a lot of love and respect until the result you will find there: a cosy, comfortable, clean and warm place run by a bunch of adorable people, always there for advices, recommendations and useful tips. Sleeping alone (not many visitors there !) in this huge empty school may seem a little gloomy and scary (some horror movie vibes ?), you will soon forget about it while enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the school, while meeting the villagers and the workers at the tea farm nearby (which were the reason why I went there the first place) and while enjoying the delicious food provided by the hosts (on certain days). These few days were the last of a fantastic month of holidays I spent in Kyushu. Staying there was one of the best ideas I had for sure! お世話になりました!

Yukinoura Guest House Moritaya ligger i Saikai, 38 km från Peace Park, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. Staff was incredibly friendly and treated us very well. It was a pleasure to talk with everyone. The whole place felt like home. I would definitely visit again!

Minshuku Umi no Sachi liggeri Sasebo, 40 km från Huis Ten Bosch, och erbjuder rum med luftkonditionering. Meal was yummy and fish was fresh....we loved the sashimi

TSUDOI guest house ligger i Unzen, 47 km från Nagasaki Museum of History, och har luftkonditionerade rum och grillmöjligheter. It rained the majority of the time I was there, but nevertheless I had a great time!! The nature in/around Unzen is beautiful, but best of all were the people I met at the hostel, especially Jennie and Momo who were working there when I was there. Thanks!!

Ikibase Guest House ligger i Iki, 15 minuters promenad från Tsutsuki strand, och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge och gratis privat parkering. Pensionatet har familjerum. The location was near some really nice beaches. The staff were wonderful.

Guesthouse Wasabi ligger i Iki och erbjuder boende med trädgård, gemensam lounge och terrass samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Location was great very near to Ashibe Port, but if you have big bags arrange a pick up as it is a very steep hill to get to the guesthouse.
