This was the most valuable part of our entire trip. The staff at the guesthouse go above and beyond to make you feel at home, and help you organise everything from transport to tours. The owner Kong, took us on a tour of the Plain of Jars and went out of his way to take us to all three sites, arrange our lunch, take photos, answer all our questions, and educate us on the history of the war in Laos and the impact it has on the country to this day. It is absolutely worthwhile doing a trip out to Phonsavan just to stay here and do the tour with Kong.

El The Hillside Residence se encuentra en la provincia de Xieng Khouang, en el norte de Laos. Está a solo 1 km del centro y ofrece aparcamiento gratuito y alojamientos tranquilos en el campo. Una casa de huéspedes bonita y muy bien llevada. Con unos caseros muy simpáticos y siempre sonrientes. Recogen todos los clientes en el aeropuerto o en la terminal de bus, ofrecen interesantes excursiones en coche privado. Recomiendo una estancia de mínimo 3 días para conocer la zona, las distancias para recorrer los diferentes puntos de interés son largas Las habitaciones son sencillas pero limpias, algunas con balcón. El baño tiene cortina de ducha y es bastante amplio. Una agradable terraza comunitaria en el primer piso. Desayuno muy bueno. Al lado está el restaurante Bombie's con buena comida y mucha información. El Hillside Résidence es el sitio ideal para alojarse en Phonsavan-.
