The best place really close to Udawalawe elephant transit home and National park. In reality it's much better than shown in photos. It's very stylish, comfortable and super clean. Hot water, fan, wi-fi, everything working fine. Breakfasts and dinner were simple but very tasty. The owners are very helpful and nice. We spent three nights there and didn't regret anything. Oh and the garden is just spectacular. I spent lots of time here with a book and a cup of tea and it was really a lovely time. Safari can be organised by the owner or you can have a deal in front of the elephant transit home - there are lots of jeep drivers coming and waiting every day.

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. The safari with Suresh was excellent and good value for a four hour trip. Janith was the perfect host, communicative without being pushy and very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was also very delicious.

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Tree House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. A continental breakfast is available daily at the guesthouse. Loved it all! One of the best acommodations on my trip to Sri Lanka. The location itself is great - not far away from the village center, but still in nice, quiet local road where you can meet lots of friendly local people. The garden in Mango tree house is very beautiful and very well kept! The cottages are super clean, very spacious and beautiful. Loved the waterfall shower in bathroom! The owner family is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel very relaxed there as they help in everything needed. I got my rides organized by the owners which saved my time a lot. Also their dinner was great, one of the best local meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Even if they dont have pool, there is one at really near by hotel that the owner directed me to enjoy refreshing swim on a hot day. You only pay small fee to enter the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

Set within 8 km of Udawalawe National Park, The Elephant Next-Door in Udawalawe features a number of amenities including a garden. Elephant next door is a true recommendation. Small gem right next to Udalawe Nationalpark. Very cute design, you see Janaka the owner put a lot of heart and soul into this place. He is nothing but friendly and helpful. He organizes everything you need and in his little own restaurant he is offering amazing local food for his guests. Go for early morning safari with Leel and you will be the first to enter the park, see Elephants and enjoy the morning in nature when the park awakes around you. The room has AC and ceiling fan, hot shower water, moskito net (which we actually didn’t need) and is clean. Cute front room serves as a kind of living room and outside patio with a nice place to sit, free games and yoga mats! Elephant Transit home and Restaurants in walking distance. Would always go there again when staying in Sri Lanka! Price-value is top! 10 out of 10.

Offering a barbecue and views of the garden, green view safari resort is located 8 km from Udawalawe National Park. Everything. Definitely we are suggesting to use safari offered by host and have dinner there. One of the best what we had in Sri Lanka.

Offering a children's playground, Buddika Safari & Resort is located in Udawalawe. Free private parking is available on site. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned. We had a great stay at Buddika Safari & Resort. We enjoyed the spacious and clean room (incl AC) and bathroom (incl plenty hot water). The host is super friendly and the food delicious. The location is very close to the national park which is a plus for the safari tour which was organized by the host as well. We arrived at the property at 1 PM and enjoyed lunch 30 minutes later. We discussed the safari tour options with the host during lunch and decided to go that afternoon due to the weather expectations. At 2:30 PM we were in a jeep on our way to the park with a knowledgeable driver! The next day the host brought us to the Elephant Transit Home. Overall a great experience from beginning to the end of our two (2) day stay.

We had a lovely stay at Mansala Safari House. The room was very comfortable and we had a good rest. Also the breakfast (and dinner) were absolutely amazing! very kind hosts and would definitely recommend staying here. Perfect for visiting Udawalawe.
