To clarify: We have visited several other islands in the Maldives, the Seychelles, Mauritius, Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, the Caribbean and Australia - to mention some! We also find it much more interesting to visit a local island than to stay at an artificially created “bubble” at a resort. Three Hearts Guesthouse offers absolutely delicious meals from many parts of the world that all taste wonderful, including lovely Maldivian dishes!! The vegetarian and vegan options are all excellent and highly recommendable. The guesthouse has a well kept lounge area and the outdoor area is decorated with tropical plants. In addition Three hearts offers books to read in several languages, toys and games. Guests can also enjoy the relaxing hammock under the palm trees by the water a few steps from the guesthouse. Additionally there is a great place to sit and chat amongst more palm trees with the charming Maldivian seating in a refreshing spot next to the guesthouse. The atmosphere is friendly and homie thanks to the superb and caring hosts Elvira and Simbe. They offer exquisite tours with friendly local guides with years of experience. The guides know exactly how and where to go to give you the best and most beautiful experiences! We saw dolphins and mantas and countless turtles close up. Totally harmless sharks were also fascinating to see:) On top of this you can borrow snorkeling equipment free of charge at Three Hearts. The snorkeling in the area is fabulous - the best we have experienced after visiting more than 100 countries! The rooms are spacious, clean and perfectly well kept every day and beds are very comfortable. We also very much appreciated the fact that Three hearts is aware of the challenge concerning garbage coming in from the ocean: they offer a refreshing, homemade lemonade if you participate in taking responsibility of cleaning up certain areas of the island!

Set on the beautiful island of Fulhadhoo, Azoush Tourist Guesthouse features a 24-hour front desk and houses a dining area with in-room dining options available as well. Great guesthouse, great personnel Really want to return to Azoush! Room was nice. Guesthouse area was also good. You can use free bikes, very convenient because bikini beach is 20 minutes walk. But bikes are old, just get used to them :) We had breakfast and dinner. Dinner was exceptional as for me. Really tasty fish! If you need to buy some snacks - there is a store just around the corner.

With garden views, Tropical Tree is set in Fehendhoo and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, children's playground and picnic area. The stay in Tropical Tree Guesthouse definitely made our holidays in Maldives. The treatment & highly professional way of interacting with the guests is phenomenal, and deserves all the praise. The guesthouse staff demonstrated a great level of enthusiasm and hospitality. (Despite of rather small size of the lodge and lack of any luxury). Very well done! The excursions offered by the hotel (we booked 2x fishing tours and snorkeling) were simply amazing (especially the fishing tours). It was different from any other plain vanilla „commercial“ tours we previously met other countries. The tours are being performed with high level of enthusiasm and efforts of the guides. We definitely recommend to visit the wonderful island and especially this hotel to everyone, who is willing to explore the „Real“- Maldives.

Dhoani Maldives Guesthouse is a recently renovated guest house in Kendhoo, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. The property has garden views. Quiet location, super friendly and attentive staff who take very good care of you. I have to mention Hushaam and team for their help during our stay. Our favourite was castaway picnic trips to nearby private islands where we had the island for ourself for most of the time. We went to manta snorkeling and saw a like 10 mantas and it was amazing to snorkel with them. Looking forward to travel soon again!

Featuring inner courtyard views, Ahiva Village in Fulhadhoo provides accommodation, a private beach area and a terrace. Ahiva is the best guesthouse for all my visits on local islands. Fresh rooms, clear, good style cafe design and chillout. Staff so friendly and welcome - it's really pleasant to communicate with them. Best price/quality rate on Fulhadhoo, everything like on photos.

Situated in Dharavandhoo in the Baa Atoll region and Dharavandhoo Beach reachable within 100 metres, LVIS Village features accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground, a private beach area... Everything is SUPER, was a short stay. Loved everything, this guest house is operated together with LVIS beach property. I paid less since stay was at LVIS Village as this is a lower priced property having it located in the Village instead of being on the beach, but is just 30 seconds walk to bikini beach and beach front LVIS property where beach front restaurant, garden and sun loungers for all guests are located. Garden and Beach is excellent, I spent all the time on the beach and garden and used room just to sleep 😁 Food is exceptional, excursions are great. Best or all is warm hospitality, how genuine staff is, feel like home. This is a place to return

Set within a few steps of Bikini Beach in Baa Atoll, MOONSHELL RESIDENCE features accommodation with seating area. Featuring full-day security, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The Moonshell Residence has a very nice Rooftop Bar and an amazing staff which is exceptionally courteous and nice. We had a lovely and comfortable room and the property is close to the Bikini Beach, which was amazing. We also had our own sunbeds and sunumbrella.

Located in Baa Atoll, Island Zephyr offers a garden, free WiFi, full-day security, and luggage storage space. Everything! The guesthouse was amazing, beautiful gardens and common areas and the room and bathroom were lovely. Very clean and well decorated. But the best thing were the hosts. They welcomed us in like family - what amazing people! They were so warm and lovely and helpful; organising all of our activities, joining us for mealtimes, taking us around the island. We will 100% return!

Located on the beachfront in Fulhadhoo, Palms Retreat features a garden. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house has family rooms. We recently stayed at the hotel managed by Amy and Aiman and were thoroughly impressed by our experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed, a feeling that was further enhanced by the friendly and helpful staff. Each member of the team went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.The food offered at the hotel was exceptional, with a delightful variety of delicious and well-presented dishes. The hotel itself was a cozy haven, with its inviting and stylish decor creating a warm and home-like atmosphere.Amy, Aiman, and their team have truly created a wonderful retreat, blending great service with a comfortable setting. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Coral Castle - Goidhoo Maldives features a private beach area and a garden in Baa Atoll. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The food is excellent. We had our three meals in the hotel and we loved it. From day one we told Mohammad and Ahmad that we would like to try local cuisine and God that was a wise decision, because every day for 8 days we were amazed with the plates and dishes that were prepared for us. The hotel is located in the heart of the village, everything is withing a walking distance (bakery, shop, cafe-shop, harbor, restaurant, beach). The room had a huge bed (by all standards). Mohammad and Ahmad are good hosts, nothing was too hard for them to do/fix/arrange it for us. I highly recommend the place and would definitely come back to visit Goidhoo in a near future because this island is really worth every single minute of my trip.
