The wild horses that pay a visit in the morning and the evening. The views are spectacular in every time of the day. The thick fog, spectacular mountains and unexpected lights in the night. There are a lot of activities to keep them busy. With 3 swimming pools there is enough space for everyone. We visited Drakensville for 10 years on a yearly basis.

They provide everything: three excellent meals per day, morning and afternoon teas, guided walks, nature talks, entertainment and much more. However, the real drawcard is the setting. This family hotel is situated at the head of a valley in the foothills of the Drakensberg mountains. As such, it is surrounded by mountains on three sides. When you climb up to the skyline (on well marked paths), you are rewarded by magnificent views of the high Drakensberg mountains.

The resort provided excellent holiday entertainment and the hot water swimming pool was a pleasure especially in the cold weather and after a long hike. The resort was very safe and allowed the children with independence to go around as they pleased.
