As the title says, this is a 'unique' residence, very close to the lovely medieval centre of Alkmaar but also quiet. Grace and Vincent are welcoming and friendly, and the house is supplied with everything that you would need for a short stay. The train station is only a 15-minute walk away.

We haven’t done a home stay in a long time, but this was a pleasant surprise. Robin’s home is cheerful, clean, and welcoming and Robin is a wonderful, friendly host. We were there with two other travellers, who we enjoyed meeting. Our room was on the third floors (lots of stairs!) and although it was small, the bed was comfortable and room was fine for our two night stay. Travellers should know there is one shared bath on the second floor and a toilet on the main floor. It was always available when we wanted to use it. Robin gave us great recommendations on where to cycle, visit and dine. Recommend!

Best location. All public transport nearby. Quiet area. The room was perfect for the week we stayed there. Definitely coming back.

Quiet location, lovely compact room with private outside space and parking. Good self catering with fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. Comfy bed, strong WiFi. Good 15 min stroll to town centre and only 5 miles to beach ⛱ 😎. Great cycle routes. Plenty of good eateries close by.

The apartment has all you need for a great stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable and the shower is always warm. Frans and Thea were amazingly kind and helpful. We were sad to leave and are hopeful to visit again.

it what’s spotless clean, the host very friendly, the room got everything what you need for a short stay. breakfast already in the room, enough parking space on site
