Situated just 29 km from El Poblado Park, Refugio en el Bosque offers accommodation in Medellín with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a shared kitchen. I really loved this place. It's very quiet and peaceful (certainly compared to the hustle and bustle of Medellin). It's a bit of a walk to the nearest restaurant in Santa Elena, but that was fine by me. If you want a perfect place to decompress and just relax for a few days, this is definitely it. Carlos was very kind and accommodating, and Juan was very helpful and considerate, as well.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Lucía, it is a great location so close to town and everyone working here was super friendly and helpful. The communication between ourselves and Catalina was the best I've ever experienced. She had perfect English which made such a difference for us as we only have a little Spanish. Catalina gave us so many recommendations and they were all so thoughtful during our stay, even moving our boots to dry out in the sun after the Lost City hike! They helped us with getting mototaxis for where ever we needed to go and the room was stocked with towels, drinking water, soap, everything you could need!
