Situated in Palolem, 80 metres from Palolem beach, Hilias Retreat boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property has also been recently renovated. Very nice and welcoming staff, clean property, close to the beach (2 min by walk). The room is very basic, but I had a good rest. They also arrange transportation.

I would most definitely stay here again!

Ruban is an excellent host and is taking care to contribute positively to the environment and community in Palolem both through his Eco development (which are good value for money) and his yoga teachings. I really enjoyed my stay here, I was worried about not having AC initially but the fan was fine as the temperature drops at night. I enjoyed the ease of waking up and taking only a few steps to the yoga shala to practice an Ashtanga style class lead by Ruban. His wife also makes amazing tea! The location is perfect, it’s literally on the beach (as in you are walking in sand) and a 2minute walk to the ocean, in fact you can hear the ocean at night without the fan on.

Their place is newly built and clean. The AC works well and you can hear the waves as you are falling asleep. It’s just steps from the beach. The wifi works well. Everything in Agonda is easily walking distance from their place. Sunita offers a per piece laundry service. Overall they went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable during the duration of my stay.

Pranali and Mohit were wonderful hosts, we felt welcomed and very much at home. The house they have built in traditional Portuguese style is stunning and a credit to them. The gardens are beautiful and breakfast in the gazebo in the mornings, lovely. Pranali is a very good cook and we had home cooked traditional Indian breakfast each morning. The rooms are comfortable and the balcony was a nice place to sit in the shade reading in the afternoon. They have three very friendly dogs who wag their tails and greet you like a long lost friend every time you come back. Just magical and we would most definitely recommend and return.
