It's a relatively small house in which the guests live together with the host and the staff. It's a family atmosphere between the host, the staff and the guests. We cooked together, made some trips and just went for dinner/drinking. Since I speak only a bit of Japanese there was some language barrier, since the host speaks only japanese. However, some of the guests could speak a bit of English and for the translation apps could be used. Nevertheless I never felt excluded.

I really enjoyed my stay with Travelers House. Hosts are kind and provide quality breakfast and welcoming drinks. Even got a foot bath with beautiful flowers. The room is charming and one can hear great jazz or classical music during breakfast time. Like staying in a liitle museum with plants, collector stamps and book on Hygge.

ゲストハウス石垣 is situated in Ishigaki Island and features a shared lounge. Guests can make use of a garden. Rooms are fitted with a shared bathroom. Ishigaki Island is 1.2 km from the hostel. The photos match exactly what the guest house looks like, it is clean, fresh and relaxing. It has everything you need for a short stay. The whole property is light and airy. Andy is super informative about where to visit on the islands, he gave us plenty of tips about the best snorkel spots each day.

The staff at Koa were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathroom was spotless, and the bedroom was comfortable and inviting. Plus, the closest beach is just a short walk away and absolutely beautiful. If you're planning a trip to Miyakojima, I highly recommend staying at Koa.

Finding food nearby can be tricky in the winter months! Please be aware. There is a store nearby that closes by 8pm! Stock up on basics Nearby restaurant is literally one of the best in the area! No exaggeration, it is the restaurant the host recommended!
