Link House is spotless, comfortable and has great bathrooms, but it is the warmth of Yumiko that made our short stay so welcoming. We were advised to stay in Fujiyoshida rather than Kawaguchiko. Guest House Zen is a beachfront property situated in Yamanakako, 18 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 21 km from Lake Kawaguchi. This was the best stay of my 15 day Japan trip. I frankly did not expect this place to be this good. Location: You cannot ask for a more scenic location. The room window (I had opted for the room with a view) opens in front of the Yamanaka lake which is bang opposite the full view of Mt Fuji. You can only think of such views in fairytales. You can take long walks along the perimeter of the lake all day long, admire Mt Fuji, spend time in the cozy kitchen of the guest house while enjoying a free cup of coffee or cook a meal. The supermarket is 5 mins away by foot where you can stock up on some food or beer. Some restaurants are nearby but they close pretty early in the night which is not an issue since the supermarket is nearby. Host: The host speaks fluent English, is a very kind hearted man who genuinely wants the guests to have a pleasant time at this guest house. He gave us a detailed tour of his house and informed us about the transport and facilities. Mistakenly, I had opted for a single bed but he did not charge me anything extra to accommodate two of us. The public transport is not that frequent to get to the guest house so plan ahead. The buses run daily to the guest house but you must learn about them early on. You can surely rent a car and reach here without any hassles.

Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Guest House 合歓木（ねむ） is set in Hokuto, 41 km from Canora Hall and 34 km from Kamisuwa Station. Beautiful peaceful guesthouse with everything you may need. The owner is a lovely lady who was incredibly helpful.

晴家(HALELUYA) Guest House in Fujikawaguchiko provides adults-only accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace. Everything. From the kitchen to the lounge, bedroom to the bathroom. Everything about it was amazing. I especially what to point out that they were the best hostel beds I've ever experienced!

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. One of the coziest accommodations I have ever been to. The staff was really cool, friendly, and helpful. Thank you!

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. This hostel is exceptionally well done and maintained. A welcoming, home like vibe that makes interactions with the owners and other people easier.

Offering garden views, Daikokuya Mt.Fuji is an accommodation located in Fujiyoshida, 7.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi and 23 km from Mount Fuji. Feels like our home. The owner Taeko San very kind, great hospitality. The house is neat, clean, comfortable, such a wonderful & unique place you have to visit.The house also is a well maintained heritage and traditional Japanese house. Will definitely come again on our next trip.
