The owners were really characterful and friendly. It's right in the jungle and the garden is like a jungle too. The room was great, very clean, hot running water and really well kitted out rooms - Good AC, a stocked fridge with cold drink minibar type setup, kettle, tea/coffee, a big washing bowl handy for washing clothes. The entrance to Sigriya is directly opposite the access road to this place - you could not stay any closer, so ideal for an early morning start up the rock. The Breakfast here is absolutely stunning, 18 different items, all cooked by the host in the morning, hoppers, pancakes, little omelets, jaffles.. it just keeps coming out! We had our own tuktuk so driving around, going out at night wasn't a big deal, and the owner can easily organise a tuktuk pickup as this guesthouse is set back into the jungle. A 5min walk from main road in the daylight but maybe not something to try in the dark. We would happily stay again!

Rooms were big and very clean… Food was hand cooked by Owner itself… Her hospitality was really good… breakfast menu was fulfilling and overall value for money stay..

The hosts were wonderful — they were prompt in replying to our messages and tended to our needs. The breakfast we were served was delicious. The bed was comfy and the place was extremely clean.

1.7 km from Sigiriya Rock, Hungry Lion Resort is a recently renovated property situated in Sigiriya and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. We absolutely loved this place. If we could we would give a 20/10! Room are very clean, really big, beautiful and very comfortable. Even much better than it looks in the pictures. Hot water and good pressure in the shower 🙌🏼 Kettle, tea, and coffee available in the room. Such a nice view from the window, AC works perfectly. The location is great and very quiet. Staff are super friendly and very approachable, give you useful tips for your trip around the area and in general of Sri Lanka. The breakfast is very yummy! 100% recommended to everyone! Families, couples or solo travellers. We’ll come back!! Thank you so much to make us feel so well here ⭐️

Located within 3.5 km of Sigiriya Rock and 4.5 km of Pidurangala Rock in Sigiriya, Relax Nature Villa offers accommodation with seating area. Lovely host, amazing food, Wi-Fi worked, surrounded by nature. The room is basic (no hot water, no AC), but that didn't matter, as we loved how it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Good to know: at night you can't walk around in the nature, as there are wild elephants. So if you go to the restaurants you need to take a tuk tuk back.

Featuring quiet street views, Galaxy View Homestay Sigiriya provides accommodation with balcony, around 5.6 km from Sigiriya Rock. I accidentally booked a room for three at Galaxy, but when we saw our room we decided to stay another night, it was perfect. We were up a tree, so we didn't need air conditioning and there were no mosquitoes. The attention to detail in the room was superb; including coloured towels for the swimming pool, and a smaller towel next to the bathroom sink. A small fridge in the room, and cushions on the chairs in the sit-out area. All in all, well done. And of course the food was great too 👍

Featuring garden views, Shan Mango Homestay provides accommodation with pool with a view, an indoor pool and a garden, around 5.5 km from Sigiriya Rock. The best homestay we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are the nicest people. The lady made us feel so welcome. They would arrange scooter or loundry or safarii or anything you want. There are only two rooms so the whole stay felt like home. We had the lovely pool for ourselves. Room was big, pretty and clean. Perfect working AC and fun. Location is nice but I would suggest rent a scooter and have a freedom of exploring Sigyryja. However the are few restaurants in walking distance or host can cook for you some dishes as well. Don't hesitate to book it. You will love it.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, The Green Jungle is set in Dambulla, 15 km from Pidurangala Rock and 7.2 km from Dambulla Cave Temple. Everything was perfect. The best room we had in Sri Lanka so far. Everything was very clean. Nuwan is a very nice person, offered help in anytime we needed and provided great tips. The breakfast was amazing too, cooked by the Nuwan wife, who is also a very helpful person.

This is the perfect little home stay with beautiful views of Lions rock. It’s quiet and peaceful and private. Nice room and delicious food that the owner prepares for you each morning and night. I felt at home when I was here! Do not hesitate to book this place!
