The staff was very helpful and friendly, he arranged a safari with a very nice driver who paid so much attention in wildlife welfare. He also arranged our transfer from Mirissa and then to yala, the driver was friendly and was a pleasure to talk to him. We had a wonderful dinner and also a super Ayurvedic massage near the accommodation!!

Hyggelige ansatte, likte veldig godt at vi fikk varme håndklær og juice ved ankomst. Vil virkelig anbefale safarien som tilbys! Vi hadde med oss Madura som sjåfør og guide, og han var helt fantastisk!! Han hadde utrolig god kjennskap til parken, dyrelivet og hvilke områder man kunne se dyr i. Han anbefales på det varmeste!

We travelled from Canada and decided to go by what other travellers had said and glad we stayed here. The staff found out it was our anniversary and went out of their way to decorate our room - a lovely touch. The place is clean, the room was pristine, the breakfast is good and the staff are excellent. The hotel has its own safari jeep and we organized everything with them, it was probably the best thing we did. We’d go back.

Loved it all! One of the best acommodations on my trip to Sri Lanka. The location itself is great - not far away from the village center, but still in nice, quiet local road where you can meet lots of friendly local people. The garden in Mango tree house is very beautiful and very well kept! The cottages are super clean, very spacious and beautiful. Loved the waterfall shower in bathroom! The owner family is very friendly and welcoming. You can feel very relaxed there as they help in everything needed. I got my rides organized by the owners which saved my time a lot. Also their dinner was great, one of the best local meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Even if they dont have pool, there is one at really near by hotel that the owner directed me to enjoy refreshing swim on a hot day. You only pay small fee to enter the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

Set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park, Hasthi Safari Cottage features accommodation with a hot tub, spa facilities and wellness packages. Super friendly staff that gave us the best experience! We had very nice Sri Lankan food for both breakfast and dinner. They also arranged taxis for us to travel to our next stop and the safari was amazing.
