Situato a Wilpattu, il Backwaters offre un giardino, un barbecue, una terrazza e la connessione WiFi gratuita. Accoglienza ottima da parte di Antony e di tutto il suo staff. Un posto immerso nella natura dove rilassarsi e cenare a base di piatti tipici davvero prelibati. Camere essenziali e pulite. Spazi comuni dove prende benissimo il wi-fi e godere di ottime birre e succhi freschi offerti sin dall’accoglienza. Consigliato per vivere una serata tranquilla pre Safari da fare la mattina seguente.

We were a close family group of 7 persons in 3 rooms. You will not be disappointed. It is only 100 metres from NP entrance & lake edge. Magical entry is unique thru bush path that opens onto safari style forest huts in keeping with the secluded setting. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds comfy with mosquito nets. Ensuite was spotless. The best part was our host Neehal! His limited English was more than made up for by his entusiasm & attention to detail. Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group is a recently renovated homestay in Wilpattu, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and free bikes. Such a good place to stay! Super friendly owner, full of energy, always smiling and funny guy! Always keen to help in any situation! He also organise safari for you in the best conditions, breakfast and lunch included, good car and good driver. And the food was amazing, big buffet with local food, so tasty! Highly recommend this place, hope to come back one day!

Located in Pahala Maragahawewa, within 31 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 32 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Wilpattu Lakwin Guest provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for... The staff was very friendly and helped set up a safari. Make sure to ask about safari price including or excluding the national park fees. The dinner add on was very delicious!

Situato ad Achchamulai, il Wilpattu Green Cabin offre un giardino. La struttura vanta una reception aperta 24 ore su 24, un servizio di trasferimento aeroportuale, un salone in comune e la connessione... Wilpattu Green Cabin is a small and friendly family-run establishment in the countryside near Eluwankulama. It is accessible by tuk tuk from the Elwulankulama bus stop. The drivers will know where to go. (It’s about 5 minutes away.) Wilpattu Green Cabin is located right on the Lunu Ela River (I think that is the name) and is a lovely and relaxing spot to take a break. They have two new bungalows with a fan, mosquito nets and veranda that face the river and are spacious, clean and comfy. They also have one room referred to as “the treehouse“ which was entirely crafted out of sustainable “green“ materials. It is more cozy than the bungalows but it is super adorable and has a wonderful vibe. Be prepared to climb a ladder! It costs a little bit more than the bungalows but worth it! They also have a couple air con rooms that are kind of dark and do not face the river in case you absolutely need your AC. You will probably want to purchase lunch and/or dinner at Green Cabin since there is no other easy option but no worries, the meals are tasty and filling. Breakfast was included. The establishment is run by a friendly fellow named Riswan, his brother, sister-in-law and others. Riswan will arrange a Jeep safari to Wilppatu National Park if you like. You can also take a long pole boat ride up the river to look for birds. I did both the Jeep safari and the long pole boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of note: there is an elephant that sometimes swims the river and sneaks into the adjacent rice paddy for a midnight snack! I would definitely book another stay at Wilpattu Green Cabin, especially in the treehouse!
