I had the best time at Solar de Santo Andre. Eduarda is a great hostess and the whole team at Solar de Santo Andre is very accommodating, hospitable, helpful and friendly. The house has been painstakingly renovated and the old rooms from earlier times have been made incredibly beautiful. The rooms, which are open to the public, are reminiscent of how Ponta Delgada used to be and how people used to live there. The guest rooms are very modern and equipped with all the necessary details to make you want to spend time there. I had booked the studio and was absolutely satisfied. The rooms are nicely furnished, are cleaned daily and you have everything you need for your vacation. Breakfast is served in the kitchen with a large table where all guests can sit down. The breakfast offers everything your heart desires: different types of bread, a selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee or tea is served as well as a homemade juice that varies daily. All guests meet at breakfast and the room invites you to chat. The garden with pool is perfect for relaxing after an eventful day. I had a wonderful time at the Solar de Santo Andre and can only recommend anyone to stay there!

La Casa do Mar se encuentra en Areia Larga y cuenta con jardín y terraza. Las habitaciones incluyen armario, ropa de cama y balcón con vistas al mar. We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Mar. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful view of the sea and Faial island on one side, and of Mount Pico on the other. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location - walkable distance from Madalena center and from several natural pools, and a 10-minute drive from the airport. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would absolutely recommend!

El DMCharme se encuentra en Ponta Delgada, en la región de São Miguel, a 300 metros de Portas da Cidade y a 800 metros del santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, y ofrece terraza. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, close to all the points of interest, shops and bars. Especially good if you don’t rent a car. The rooms and common areas were very spacious.

El CITY STONE HOUSE se encuentra en Ponta Delgada y ofrece alojamiento solo para adultos con salón compartido, jardín y zona de parrilla. I want to recommend this accommodation to everyone who comes to the azores! A great accomodation and an even grater host! He really cares for your wellbeing and for you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! He provided us with every help and assistance, from tips where to go out for dinner to rainy-day-program, with bath towels for each day and even bathtowels to go to the hot springs (which are a must do in our opinion but thats another story) The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed (thanks for the anti-moskito-plug! Made our nights very peaceful). In the shared area is even a fully equipped kitchen, there is coffe and even a garden to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Locationwise you can get to the city center via a short walk, there is one excellent fish restaurant down the street and you have a parking opportunity suitable for mainland europeans ;) Everything you need is close by. El Arrivillage se encuentra en Arrifes y ofrece alojamiento con TV de pantalla plana. Hay heladera y hervidor de agua. Ponta Delgada está a 5 km del alojamiento. Jose nos hizo sentir como en casa, muy amable y nos recomendó muchos sitios que visitar en San Miguel.

La Pousada da Vila se encuentra en Vila Franca do Campo, a 5 km de Lagoa do Congro. Excellent location, service, and value for money. The hosts are thoughtful and helpful, and it is fun to share the kitchen with guests and exchange experiences.

El Thalassa Villas se encuentra frente a la playa de Ponta Delgada y ofrece pileta al aire libre y wifi gratis. Todo. Gracias a los propietarios por su atención y amabilidad. La villa no le falta detalle, perfecta para desconectar, relajarse, y poder irse de excursión para ver São Miguel. Ubicación perfecta cerca a Ponta delgada. Un agrado haber estado aquí!

El Estrela do Atlântico se encuentra en Horta, a 700 metros de la Praia da Conceição, y ofrece alojamiento con pileta exterior de temporada, estacionamiento privado gratuito, bar y jardín. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

La Quinta das Palmeiras se encuentra en Povoação y dispone de jardín y terraza. También cuenta con cocina compartida, salón compartido y wifi gratis en todas las instalaciones. The helpfulness off the staff.

El Cantinho do Piano ofrece alojamiento en Velas. El alojamiento dispone de habitaciones familiares. Located in center, parking on the street not hard to find, receptionist prepared for us a map with places to see, shared equipped kitchen, very nice living room/reception.
