Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Very good location, close to the train station, close to the bus stop. It is like hostel with bunk beds but you have your private space - it is like very small room somehow that you can lock with the key. It was ok for me as I was out most of the time travelling around and spent there only the nights.

Host was very easy going and accommodating. We were allowed to use the whole floor despite another room typically available only to other guests. Although they may not initially look like it, the bunk beds are really comfortable. The view of the stream outside the window is a major plus. This really has the Japanese home feel we really wanted during our trip, away from the regular hotels. You feel safe since there is someone staying within the premises at most times.

Very new and modern place. Dato san is a very charming and good host, it felt like home. The place has been newly renovated and is well equipped. The place to sleep is somehow a bit like a pod hotel with separated spaces, great for young folks and backpackers on a budget. Imaichi is one stop from Nikko and has plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, pubs, and more. Charming.

This hotel is within 5 minutes walk from JR Nikko station and Tobu Nikko station. The room was small but very functional and immaculate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It also provided simple breakfast and free coffee and tea in the lobby. We’re happy with our stay and have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget hotel in a great location.

Very calm environment, quiet and dark at night. The room and living space is comfortable and clean. Near to bus station (3 mins walk) and Chuzenji Lake Bus Terminal (10 min walk, more bus back to Nikko station). There's also a small local supermarket near the hostel, offering cheap bentos and food ingredients. Owner is a guide, so you can learn more about the environment of Nikko.

This is a very cheap stay, only five minutes from Kinugawa Onsen station. Despite being an old building, the room was impeccably clean and had a mini fridge and microwave oven.
