I do not usually leave a review on a place but this place does have to get a review, I arrived at this hostel for two days and finally stayed there for almost a week The atmosphere in the hostel is very very good and easy and fun to meet people there, the whole hostel is equipped with a huge kitchen, hammocks and in general feels like you are in the jungle I did not like Tulum but it did not really interest me because I spent most of the time in the hostel I had as a family. Recommend everyone to go there and not to the other expensive and not fun places that are in Tulum!

Overall atmosphere was lovely - it's a beautiful property with a number of cozy common spaces to spend time in. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Friendly and helpful staff with lots of tips, was able to easily rent a bike from the hostel as well to explore Tulum (much cheaper than a taxi!)

You will be treated as family and you will enjoy a big amount of plans that they organise EVERYDAY for the guests to visit, from cenotes, beaches or hidden gems (as well as parties if you are interested). If you have the chance, enjoy the scuba diving taught by David and Diego. Great hand for experts and beginners (even the ones that are more scared!!). They are great professionals and they know the reefs and cenotes like the palm of their hands Thanks to all of you that make me feel at home, from Paco, David, Laia, Lautaro, Andy, Vir and all the rest! Hostal Dona Lucha was a home away from home. The hostess Dani was so friendly and welcoming, she was helpful and knowledgeable. It was like visiting a relative. The shared room was comfortable and I slept well every night. No bed bugs but watch out for the mosquitoes. The bathrooms were always clean. The outdoor kitchen had everything I needed. The location is a short walk (10 minutes) from the ADO bus station. You need to walk through the sushi restaurant to get to the entrance. There are plenty of restaurants around and the Main Street is two short blocks north (where all the tourist shops and bars are). Dani or her colleagues can advise on cheaper restaurant options. The plunge pool was a perfect place to cool off.
