Hostal Dona Lucha was a home away from home. The hostess Dani was so friendly and welcoming, she was helpful and knowledgeable. It was like visiting a relative. The shared room was comfortable and I slept well every night. No bed bugs but watch out for the mosquitoes. The bathrooms were always clean. The outdoor kitchen had everything I needed. The location is a short walk (10 minutes) from the ADO bus station. You need to walk through the sushi restaurant to get to the entrance. There are plenty of restaurants around and the Main Street is two short blocks north (where all the tourist shops and bars are). Dani or her colleagues can advise on cheaper restaurant options. The plunge pool was a perfect place to cool off.

It's in the best place, in tulum's downtown, near to everything. Breakfast is included, they have a pool :) they offer a drink for courtesy when you arrive. I stayed twice, a long stay and a short one. All the staff was very nice. I felt like I was at home. I would definitely like to return.
